My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
July Update - I am close to polysaturated at the moment, and combined with a move to Oakland and other summer shenanigans I am not on the market for new partners. I may have limited bandwidth for new friends, and I will be going to Burning Man for the first time this year, so would love to connect on those fronts.
Otherwise, I hope you find the droids you are looking for!

I am a riddle wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma, stuffed
into a chicken, squeezed into a duck, and crammed into a turkey.

I am a master of languages. I speak English, Geek (native speaker), Jock (fluent), and Girl (intermediate).

I like random vignettes. I was the 3rd most ethical person in Waco, Texas. I lived in Seattle for 9 years and still don't drink coffee. I once went to sleep on a train and woke up on a boat.

I really enjoy the bizarre, surreal, and absurd. Anything that pushes boundaries, makes me go WTF, or challenges my worldview requires a second look, and if it's hooked up to a strong story, a striking image, a solid melody, or driving beat... well, then I'm hooked.

I savor intense discussions, wandering, getting lost up a mountain, silliness, hugs, and enjoying time being with good friends. Myers-Briggs says I am INTP, which seems about right, though I'm really ambiverted.

I am polyamorous. I've had fabulous relationships in a variety of configurations, but my preferred style is as a non-hierarchical polyamorist. I recommend Tristan Taormino's Opening Up as a good introduction, and feel free to ask if you have any questions. I do well with shades of gray, it just requires a lot of open communication.

I am Eclectic, Empathetic, and Alliterative
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've done a couple different things in past lives. I've worked at an online game startup, helped found a non-profit, interned for a Senator, sold out to the man for a bit, got disillusioned and went back to grad school, sold out again (which brought me to the bay) then most recently changed jobs, moved up to the city, and started making games again.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Listening (and actually paying attention).
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Soccer legs (though I mostly just play Ultimate Frisbee now)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Last ten on shuffle were Clutch, Elliot Smith, Bolt Thrower, Portishead, Tom Waits, Public Enemy, The Clash, Jurassic 5, Finntroll (Finnish Death Polka, a genre of one), and Concrete Blonde. I may or may not have skipped Madonna's "Vogue" when doing this experiment.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
A towel
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Whether people read this far down in profiles.

Obscure value systems.

The Future(tm).

Not a pink elephant.

Where my keys are.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
At a friend's house playing board games, a movie, a concert, the theater, or a Giants game. I like a good beer and conversation and seeing if I can find that magic intoxication level where I turn into Eddie Felson.

Ideally I'd be going out somewhere with you.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Occasionally during intimate moments I've hopped out of bed to grab my laptop so I could figure out how to tie a particular knot. I'm not sure if this speaks to kink or simply that I was never a boy scout (literally and otherwise). Note: you totally don't have to be into bondage as it isn't something I need, but only pure Vanilla gets boring after a while. What dynamics intrigue you?
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You have a favorite nook or cranny in the city.

You own a board game I've never heard of.

Something resonated with you and you want to find out if we click. I enjoy all types of people, and while I like people I share some interests with, I really like people who can introduce me to new things. What can you teach me?
