My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
First of all, "Thanks" for taking the time to look at my profile. I am a retired educator who moved to Eastern Shore, Alabama in July and would like to meet a companion with whom to explore the area. Will you help? :-)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Hmmm. Day to day since I moved in July has been the usual of getting established in a new community. Plus it has been a treat to set up my new home.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I am really good at getting organized and then staying focused on what needs to be done. How does one eat an elephant? One bite at a time!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Gosh, I go through spells with reading books! Most recently it has been the "Life of Pi" by Yann Martel and "The Nine" by Jeffrey Toobin. As for movies, I thoroughly enjoyed "The World's Fastest Indian" with Anthony Hopkins. Great flick! When it comes to music, I like all kinds of music, but of late I am listening to "Calling Wisdom" which is by Peace of Mind Music. And concerning food, I am now "almost" a vegetarian and feel so much better. Giving up dairy has been the hardest. But I am not fanatical about food and dieting. I love to eat anything!! :-)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Emotional closeness
2. Close family ties
3. Close friends
4. Closeness in a friendly church
5. Physical closeness
6. I guess you could say that I have a "high closeness quotient"!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I spend a lot of time thinking about how lucky I am to be active, healthy and happy!! Life is truly a 10+ to be celebrated each and every day.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Lately Friday nights have been a time to shop for groceries. That is the best time to meet single people. :-)
