I guess I should explain my username! My usual username was taken so I just typed in the two words in the confirmation box for my user name... and those two words happened to be Retrace and Claire... so yeah, It didn't occur to me that that user name could possibly be taken in a few different ways... My name is not Claire nor do I wish it to be! It is a pretty name though.. I would change my user name but that costs money and defeats the purpose of a free website...
This has not really been a self-summary...

Currently, not much. I write words on paper a lot. Sometimes they even become words on paper with chords and music notes, I'm finally employed once more advertising and selling new and used office furniture... certainly not my life plan. I'm very successful at caring for my brat cat. I can't tell if she loves me or the food I give her.

I want to go back to school but I have to get a few things in order before I can make that possible.

Sleeping. I've also been very musical my whole life, I've played a variety of instruments for years now. I make a mean sandwich...
I'm pretty good at collecting vinyl. And I'm great at spending money. Also in my 25 years known of existence I've become pretty adept at walking, laughing, talking, and watching television. I'm also a great hockey fan (no other sports do it for me).

Usually it's my big brown eyes and long eyelashes, but lately it's been my beard that people notice. Other bearded men and I often feel an instant connection. There's a very deep and spiritual understanding between bearded men (please note sardonic tone with a hint of truth). People also notice my odd sense of humor and sometimes it turns them against me... It just takes a little getting used to.. Took me years to get my own jokes.

Books: Every book by Chuck Palahniuk or Kurt Vonnegut. The Hitchhikers Trilogy by Douglas Adams. Classic literature like John Steinbeck. Orwell's Animal Farm and 1984, Catch-22, er so many others.
I'm currently reading "People's History of the U.S." And the Bible and Koran and my favorite: The Tao Te Ching.
Also I am currently and slowly reading the H.G. Wells bibliography.

Movies: Anything Tom Waits is in, I prefer movies that have story lines and twisty endings but I'll watch any movie no matter how low budget. I refuse to see Nympho Barbarian in Dinosaur Hell a second time. I'll watch anything by Diablo Cody.
All time favorites include: Oh Brother Where Art Thou, any Star Trek or sci-fi film, V for Vendetta, Moonrise Kingdom, Wrist-cutters: A Love Story, Oh never mind there's too many movies out there.
I haven't seen a good movie in a long time so any recommendations would be great.

Shows: I'm a long time Trekker but I don't let it get in the way of conversation... ha.... Other favorite TV Shows are Always Sunny, Eureka, Stargate SG-1, Dark Shadows, Warehouse-13 is great. Lost Girl is a fantastic show. I somehow got hooked on True Blood but haven't watched the latest season, I like the Simpsons and Futurama, Scrubs... and some others.

Music: So much. Tom Waits, Iron and Wine, Gogol Bordello, Fiona Apple, Kate Nash, The Decemberists, The Mountain Goats, Mark Knopfler, Leonard Cohen, Amy Winehouse, any band that Jenny Lewis is in. I'm in love with Joanna Newsom and Regina Spektor. Billie Holiday, The Inkspots always make me smile and laugh just like They Might Be Giants, The Avett Brothers, Coltrane, Miles, The Tallest Man on Earth, Frank Fairfield, Andrew Bird, Sergei Prokofiev, Jim Croce, Langhorne Slim, Lady gaga, Monsters of Folk, Beirut. Oh and Tom Waits, Tom Waits, and Tom Waits. And so much more.

Food: I grew up a picky eater. I've branched out though. I only eat because other people eat. I could live without food.

My pitifully short existence and how I should really take more initiative. Lately I've also been thinking about what it is I want out of this short time I have here. Why are humans so intent on destroying themselves? Why can't we elect leaders who aren't corrupt? Why do we kill each other in the name of some God that may or may not even be there?

Where will my car take me next? Who will be in it with me? What fun and interesting place will we end up? What will nature throw at us?

Having a game night or relaxing at home. I enjoy a night out on occasion as long as I'm with the right people.

I'm a narcissistic, romantic, dedicated, friendly guy and I speak my mind without much of a filter and I often speak of anarchy and civil war...

I'm quick on my feet and one of my goals in life is just to try and understand people... perhaps I should be a sociologist.

My cat Sassy Moassi hates me and tells me this every day. Our adopted dog Tse-Le however loves me dearly and she is so beautiful and shy.

I could only ever love one man on this planet.  If you can't guess who it is than you may want to reread some of the above. Otherwise I can't stand men. I don't know how you ladies can put up with us.

If I type more than four paragraphs will most people discontinue reading this? Especially since most of this jargon isn't really private or true...

I have a healthy obsession with nail polish.
