My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Im a happy fun interesting patient honest guy looking for some one to hang out with, get to know...maybe more. Isn't that what we all want?

People like me. I'm fun and funny and a good friend.

I love to hear and tell stories. If something in my life doesn't kill me and it makes for a good story that I can tell around cocktails later on then it has been a worthwhile event.

Since my divorce over 3 years ago I have discovered that I can survive and thrive on my own - but I love having fun interesting and caring people in my life.

I have built up a wealth of friends of all ages that are the best thing in my life. We take turns throwing parties and get togethers and I don't know what I would do with out them.

I like traveling, riding my bike, juggling, reading, movies, music, plays, doing stuff and seeing stuff. All the usual stuff.

I was once arrested with Martin Sheen and once took Punky Brewster to Magic Mountain (at the time she told me I looked like Weird Al). And the drummer from U2 once crashed on my sleeper-sofa.

Lived in Arizona for 12 years before moving back to Boston. Spent 5 years working with kids and now have a career in IT.

Politics - a open minded (I hope) moderate liberal. My two most passionate causes are (1) pro gay-marriage (2) pro universal health care.

I've realized the benefits of a more (but not completely) minimalist lifestyle. Still a work in progress.

I am both extremely outgoing AND at times painfully shy. When I'm with friends and people who I feel safe and accepted around I can be the life of the party...yet I will admit to being a bit shy and nervous in new social situations. But I recognize this and try and put myself out there socially when I can - even when at the edge of my comfort zone.

What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Trying to find out how to make my vocation my vacation. Until then I worked, until recently, for a huge internet company.

I'm also still trying to figure out dating. I'm getting better at it I think.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Keeping informed about things that really don't matter, juggling and making friends.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My smile. And hopefully not that piece of spinach wedged in between my teeth.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I actually have a pretty broad range of musical tastes (which I am reminded of each time I shuffle play my iPod). I will admit to listening to some dreadful music for no reason other then it reminds me of times in my life (c'mon, is there really any other reason to listen to "We Built This City" by Starship?) I like music thatt makes me feel something, stirrs me or makes me wanna dance.

Books. I read both fiction and non-fiction. If it makes me think and has characters that I can care about then it almost doesn't matter what the genre.

Movies - (see books). Among my fave movies are "Silence of the Lambs", "It's a Wonderful Life", "Schindlers List" and "Back to the Future".
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1 - Friends (and most of my family)
2 - Utilities (gas/water/electric)
3 - Stories
4 - My various devises that keep me informed, entertained and connected
5 - Beverages (beer, coffee)
6 - You (OK, that was a bit hokie I admit, but it made you smile)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Things I have no control over.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hanging out with friends. Either out or at my place where I am making everyone frozen Margaritas with little umbrellas in them.

Or I am at home alone reading or trying to organize my life
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
First dates still make me nervous

You aren't perfect and would like to hang out with a funny caring entertaining (and ever so slightly neurotic - but in a good way) guy who still needs to lose 10 pounds.
