My self-summary
I love a good challenge, a new experience, a defeat I can learn from, and growing everyday. There are many things I can share with you, but you've got to keep up :)

INTJ for those that care.
What I’m doing with my life
I have a purpose. It's really nothing too extraordinary as it seems to be a universal purpose, but here it is: maximize personal well-being.

What causes well-being? The leading model is Positive emotion, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, and Accomplishment (PERMA). How does one attain each of these? Well, it seems to me that PER is attained through a career, hobbies, friends, (possibly a girlfriend) and family. These factors are things most people have in a "normal" life. Meaning, however, comes through philosophical insight and accomplishment comes through willpower.

What causes willpower? Now we're getting somewhere. I have a list. Well, to be honest, I have lots of lists. On one in particular, however, I have everything I imagine my ideal self to be. From this, I have broken down every requirement and next action to into monthly goals. These monthly goals have been broken down into weekly goals that fit neatly onto a custom 8.5"x14" checklist that I carry with me.

Hmm... this all might seem a bit bizarre. We hardly know each other and I'm going on about a list. I can't help it though, I get excited about things and "What I'm doing with my life" happens to be one of those things.

As far as my career goes, I'm a product manager working downtown for a SaaS company. After doing sales/account management for too long, I am so happy for the change. Now I get to put my MBA to use by collaborating and creating. Best.thing.ever.
I’m really good at
1. Blues harmonica, guitar, and piano
2. Running long distance and body building binges
3. Finding the best hikes in the Cascades
4. Presentations and public speaking
5. Solving rubik's cubes
6. Breaking down huge ideas into individuals variables to fit into theoretical models
7. List making (apparently)
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm sure I seem a bit eccentric. Being someone who's not all that keen on small talk, I usually find myself jumping headlong into figuring out what makes you tick. I've got a model to demonstrate how this tendency affects relationships—perhaps you'd be interested??
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm a fan of nonfiction concerning positive psychology, cognitive psychology, and morality. Some of my favorite authors are Sam Harris, Daniel Kahneman, Steven Pinker, and Martin Seligman. In the fictional realm, I prefer utopias/dystopias.

Musically, I'm a bebop kind of guy. If I could have any musician's musical talent, it would be Bill Evans. Of course, I have favorites in every genre, but I always seem to come back to jazz.

For everything else, I feel like my preferences are in alignment with most people in my demographic group.
The six things I could never do without
1. A sense of purpose in life
2. Intelligent Conversation (eg. flaws with the teleological argument)
3. Unintelligent Conversation (eg. who would you rather fuck)
4. Friends. My friends and I have a wiki of over 300 memes. They're just as whacky as I am and I love em.
5. Self-Improvement
6. A fascination with how people interact
7. Breaking the rules and challenging authority

On a typical Friday night I am
More than likely, I'm hanging out with friends watching movies so bad they're good.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My source of power is my spikey hair.
