My self-summary
Me? I generally think of myself as your standard nerd. I engineer software, play video games, board games and D&D, watch sci-fi TV shows, read comic books. Personality-wise, I'm sarcastic, flippant, I like to think even witty. I'm arrogant some of the time, insecure others, still trying to find that happy middle ground.

And I'm looking for a partner. Someone who'll play off my banter, who can call a "that's what she said" before I can react. Someone to take contra dancing one night, and to board game night the next. Someone who'll beat me at Dominion or Worms, and be my coop partner in Portal or Mario. Someone to cuddle up on the couch with and watch a movie or pro Starcraft match. Someone who'll help me finally put together a decent costume for ComicCon or PAX. And someone who'll likewise invite me to join her in her interests.

If some or all of that sounds nice to you, gimme a shout. If not, best of luck in your own search.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a computer programmer. I spent a few years doing video games in Bellevue, which was totally awesome, and have recently started working at Microsoft, which is different but also awesome.
I’m really good at
Trying new things. In the recent past I've tried blues dancing and dodgeball; before that, I dabbled in poi spinning, parkour and tried to learn to play the guitar. I'm thinking the next few things on my to-do list might be sketching and glowsticking, but something else might catch my fancy by then.

Video games. Y'know that "hard mode" option you always ignore? Yeah, that's how I roll. I live off the delicious victory earned by learning boss patterns and overcoming frustrating jumping puzzles. This has earned me funny looks on the bus, but y'know what? When you've just beaten the guy you've been fighting for a week, the boss who used to kill you in the first five seconds of the battle, you can't help but throw up the horns. It's mandatory.

On a typical Friday night I am
My D&D group meets Friday nights, which is kinda unfortunate. But alas, it's hard to find a time when five adults can reliably meet once a week, and for our particular group, it happened to be Friday.

Plus, D&D is awesome. There are way worse ways to spend a Friday night.
