Your Notes
Edit your notesI am curious, peculiar, and genuine.
My Self-Summary
It's hard to give you an accurate picture but I'll certainly attempt it. I love to dance and that's where I'm usually found unless I'm booked ahead by someone--I don't mind being booked ahead.
I enjoy cooking for friends and playing with recipes. I pretty much never follow a recipe all the way thorough without editing it. I sometimes like video games and comic books but I'm about equally likely to read novels.
I enjoy learning but hate studying.
I love travel and I'm terribly curious about almost everything. I've traveled a little in Europe and the UK and would love to do so again.
I love having good, serious conversations about absolutely anything. I really love History; I mean, I can watch documentaries about the type of grains used by farmers during the middle ages or the type of mortar used in Ancient Greece and be interested--I don't expect YOU to be as enraptured.
I'm quite shy, but most people can't tell.
What I’m doing with my life
I’m really good at
Art, especially drawing, bead work, and painting, reading, making up nonsense poetry on the spot, arguing/debating/being the devils advocate, sitting in a shady spot on a sunny day watching people go by, cooking, comic book shopping, and inventing improbable scenarios to worry about.
I also love Lindy Hop, Balboa, and Charleston and swing era jazz music and I can be found at swing dance classes or social dances in Toronto at least twice a week.
The first things people usually notice about me
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
(B) When Harry Met Sally, Shawshank Redemption, Garden State,
Gidget goes Hawaiian, Goonies,16 Candles, Pretty in Pink, Sin City,
Stand By Me, Amelie, The Labyrinth, Little Miss Sunshine, Various
and Assorted Anime. Also a fan of the James Burke series
Connections and The Day the Universe Changed.
(C)Music (Particularly Rock, Punk, 50s-60s rock n roll and motown,
Pre-War Jazz and Ragtime, New Age, and a lot of 80s pop and synth
pop). Some artists I like in no particular order (chronological or
otherwise): the Yardbirds, the Beatles, Duran Duran, Count Basie,
Daft Punk, the Cranberries, Great Big Sea, the Ronettes, the
Drifters, the Boswell Sisters, the Police, Garbage, Blondie, Ella
Fitzgerald, the Jackson Five and lots of other stuff too.
(D)Fruit just when it is perfectly ripe..especially cantaloupes or
strawberries, cheesecake, mashed potatoes. That is a pretty strange
collection isn't it? I don't eat them all at once, at least not the
mashed potatoes with any of the others. In the food column under
potentially annoying--I'm gluten intolerant but don't hold that
against me.
The six things I could never do without
A good book, friends, something to daydream about, a map, a subway token, and music.
Apparently I also cannot do without ellipses, I am trying to slowly wean myself but you will still find some (...) in this profile. I cannot help it, I'm compelled by my need to leave something unsaid.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Oh or what to eat for lunch tomorrow. It's a valid concern.
