Let's see here… I am relatively quiet when I am first getting to know people, but known to crack a good joke/pun if I see an irresistible opportunity. Once I am comfortable around a person I open up and am decently fun to be around… I think… I hope.

I am a very methodical and analytical thinker, and love learning as much as I can about things to find the absolute best way to go about whatever task I may be doing.

I enjoy random exploration of new places and things. I'll try anything once as long as it won't cause permanent damage. Also, since apparently it is a thing to put a M-B personality result on here: INTJ. And now I am starting to feel like this is beginning to ramble a bit, so I'll stop talking now.

I am currently studying math and computer science at the University of Minnesota. My current tentative plan is finishing school, then going to work 5-10 years before heading back to school to get an MBA. Another idea I had was to go right ahead to graduate school, probably for either computational science or combinatorics.

Besides school, mostly just spending time with friends when time permits. Most of them do live fairly far away though, so if you want to do anything at all, I would probably be up for it. I am presently running a fairly lax schedule during the week.

Books: Dune, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Ender's Game, Frankenstein, 1984

Shows: Sherlock, Dexter, Misfits, Doctor Who, Firefly, Dollhouse, HIMYM, Game of Thrones

Music: Modest Mouse, Cloud Cult, Muse, Kishi Bashi, The xx, AWOLnation, The Black Keys, The Beatles

Food: Steak, sushi, scallops, chèvre; lots of things, particularly those with strong or complex flavours.

Other than the basic necessities of life, I'm going to go with:

• Delicious food (technically not a necessity of life, so there)

solving whatever problem is currently prevalent in my life; how one thing might influence another (I like to look for connections); which way might be faster to get from point a to b; how utterly ridiculously cool physics can be; some pesky mathematical proof that I am working out.
