Wow...I guess the most important thing would be communication, and
the confidence to be open, and the willingness to compromise to
achieve common goals. Compatibility obviously plays into it, the
ability to care and be compassionate (and passionate!) Lots of "c"s
there! A good sense of humor, but well grounded. Probably the best
description that I ever heard was that in a good relationship,...
each is willing to put the other's interests on a par with their
own a good part of the time, and ahead of their own when necessary,
and it's mutual.
I'm not looking for someone to follow me; I might not be the best
person to lead in a situation, nor am I looking to follow someone,
because the view never changes. I'm looking for someone to be
beside me, and to have the confidence in the relationship to meet
challenges together. The confidence in themselves that allows them
to have confidence in others.
I am fun, spontaneous, and intelligent...a problem solver, and
someone who isn't afraid to upset the status quo. I don't confuse
mediocrity with excellence, and I don't accept apathy in those
around me...be a part of the solution, and not part of the problem.
I have an ironic sense of humor, and I try to be someone who is
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a mid-level area supervisor for a third party contract service
provider. I kind of like to compare what I do to
"jello-juggling"...think about it..it isn't that easy! I'm also a
contract spider killer, renowned worm herder, ( I don't brand them,
tho...!)and the greatest microwavist alive. I hope to publish a
microwave cookbook soon, titled "That didn't taste too bad!"
I’m really good at
My friends would tell you that I'm pretty good at making people
feel at ease. I'm a jack-of-all-trades, comfortable just about
anywhere. I can usually find a solution to problems, or I know
someone who can help...
The first things people usually notice about me
I guess it would probably be my smile...I usually have a big, dopey
grin plastered all over my face...life's meant to be enjoyed, not
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I enjoy so many things, from travel to dining casually and
elegantly; boating, attending the theater or movies, live music and
concerts, everything from Jimmy Buffett to the symphony. Wine
tasting, the beach, good friends and good times! My favorite movie
is the African Queen, although I enjoy The Mummy series...just
about any kind of music except rap, and I have to admit that I
enjoy just about all types of food...from White Castles to sushi,
calamari to prime rib, healthy to fast food...
I enjoy reading a variety of books, historical fiction is a
favorite genre, mysteries, some of my favorite authors are Patricia
Cornwell and Bernard Cornwell ( I don't think they're
related!)...the newspapers daily...
The six things I could never do without
Well, first things first...coffee in the morning, the company of
good friends, honesty, integrity, my family, and of course,
Einstein, my dog! (Einstein went to the big bark park in the sky,
and Lulu took over his spot on the rug!)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I seldom dwell on anything; I usually figure out a way of dealing
with something, and then do my best to accomplish it. I'm flexible
and adaptable, fairly quick witted, I can usually dress and feed
myslef, although my daughters don't always share my sense of
On a typical Friday night I am
Looking for a good time with friends, whether it's eating somewhere
and then going to a movie or a concert, live music, maybe a play or
a concert...although sometimes it's nice just to sit around and
watch a movie at home with a big bowl of popcorn...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm a pretty good scout, and I spend most days trying to be the
person my dog thinks I am. I guess I'd have to get to know someone
better to share with them...
You should message me if
So many of the on-line sites are like test tube dating, using
scientific matching...yeah, sure! I've been matched with one-legged
midgets with a glass eye and a lisp that are into line dancing and
bungee jumping, and who live in Guam...uh, no!
I'm seeking honest, attractive, intelligent women that haven't
spent their lifetime collecting more baggage than the carousel at
O'Hare, don't have more drama than Masterpiece Theater, and fewer
issues than National Geographic. My definition of a "few" is less
than 20...more than that, and it's "more than a few"... I'll answer
those with recent photos.
