Hello! I had to change the default essay, since I can't stand "default" anything! Conservative in appearance, liberal in thought. I am of the opinion that everything and everyone is interesting. Generally laid back. Good sense of humor. Neat, but not neurotic about it. There's more to me than just that, but it's hard to put it in writing. If you'd like to know more, ask me a question.

I am literate, inquisitive, and easy going.

Working as an "Office Boy" (filing, data entry) for a major utility company, while trying to revive the concept of the Gentleman by example. Hoping I haven't wasted too much time. Trying to become an Internet writer.

Teaching Renaissance European dance. Not much call for it these days, though. I also think I give good back rubs - I've never had any complaints. Blathering on about things I am really interested in, if you get me started. But I can also listen to you do the same thing, so I guess that makes us even.

After the obvious physical things (bald on top, glasses, mustache)? I can't say. I'm sort of the reserved type. Maybe that's the thing that gets noticed.

Books - History, especially Medieval Europe, science, history of science... Also science fiction. I'd probably have to say my favorite book is the one I just got from the library...

Movies - Not much of a moviegoer. I don't like gross flicks, be they slasher movies or bathroom humor. Light comedies or intelligent action flicks are more my speed. Lately, I've become 'enamored' with low budget cheesy B-movies. The sort that would get shown on Mystery Science Theater 3000. Sure, in almost every way, they are badly made - but you can still watch them and enjoy them! Oh, and the "classic" Doctor Who.

Music - The world's coolest radio station: WFMU.org. Also oddities and curiosities. "Space Age Bachelor Pad", Exotica, and the like.

Foods - Pizza, Continental (whatever that is supposed to be)... And NO MUSHROOMS! God help you if I find Mushrooms! :-)

Seriously? I can't think of anything. I could pretty much work around my favorites (chocolate, coffee, ice cream, beer, bourbon, baseball).

What to have for dinner. Oh, you want something deep and philosophical? OK, how about the future of the U.S.? Can Barack Obama actually do a decent job as President? In this day and age, is it possible for a baseball team to repeat as World Champions?

Goofing off on the computer. Sigh.

I have clothes over twenty years old.... No, it's not underwear. Relax.
