My self-summary
I'm a bit of a geek, a bit of a chap, and a bit of writer. I try to live by the motto 'dressed up and laid back'. I love the old-fashioned and escapist, and look for the best time possible wherever possible. Boardgames and neckties are two of my favourite things.
What I’m doing with my life
During the day, I work at BCU helping the students get English degrees, but when I can, I'm planning my next life, where I'm helping to run a boardgame cafe. I also write and act as a hobby, having run my own theatre company in the past.
I’m really good at
Being a gentleman, talking about nothing and everything and dressing for the occasion.
The first things people usually notice about me
My facial hair, I change it up quite a lot, ranging from handlebar moustaches to mutton chops. At the minute, I'm rocking a handlebar and stubble.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
My tastes tend to be very eclectic, but here goes...

Anything Pinter, Fo, or Beckett have even sneezed on, absurdist theatre is always top of my list.

Music wise, ska will always be the one thing I'm most fond of. Folk, dubstep, soul, and old school hip hop all have a place in my heart though.

My favourite films all tend to be on the flippant side. Dark and cult comedies are usually my favourites. Clerks, super, blues brothers, and scott pilgrim are good examples of how I like to switch off. Currently re-living my ghibli phase.

Tv means Sherlock, This is England, Parks and Rec, Game of thrones, Mongrels and Spaced.
New additions: Duck Dynasty, Storage Hunters, and Lizard Lick Towing, I don't know why, but redneck structured reality is the best!

My favourite authors I can think off now are Colin Bateman, Charles Fort, Charles Schulz, Bruno Schulz, and Bill Watterson.

By no means an exhaustive list!
The six things I could never do without
Whiskey, Ties, Friends, My Dog-Douglas, Music, Theatre.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Where my next tie/boardgame is coming from.
On a typical Friday night I am
Theatre, some drinks, or a night with my friends, either in playing catan and a film, or out at a bar somewhere
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I once threw up at a scottish flamenco festival.
You should message me if
You're interesting and looking for a good vintage.
