My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
My name's Dan.

I like whiskey.

I'm going to be honest here. This site apparently appeals to 3 types of women: Those who participate in Tough Mudder, close friends of the equine, and globetrotters. Although none of those is highly exclusive, it's eerie how high a percentage of profiles I view involve at least one. If you do none of these things, it's ridiculous how much you stand out.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Anything along the line of definite. This presents a problem, as I enjoy thinking about things in a more philosophical manner.

Making sir and lady informal. Oddly enough, people take to it.

Also, although I wouldn't say I'm extroverted, I communicate well with people. Not so much in explanation, more so in the polite manner which i carry. Since I communicate well with people, i've realized most people want to talk to their friends like a therapist.

And dancing with myself.

It varies. People have mentioned I have kind eyes. Maybe the checkerboard shoes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books: Mortal Lessons, 2001: A Space Oddysey, To Kill a Mockingbird, As You Like It, The Road, The Oddysey, The Hobbit

Movies: Knockin' On Heaven's Door, Anchorman, Akira, Gangs Of New York, 28 Days Later, The Outsiders, Superbad, American Psycho, The Princess Bride, The Departed, No Country for Old Men, This is Spinal Tap, Anything Mel Brooks makes

Freaks and Geeks is the only TV show that needs to be mentioned

Music: Pixies, The Pogues, River City Rebels, Rancid, The Rolling Stones, Against Me!, The Alkaline Trio, Led Zeppelin, Thursday, Lou Reed, Bad Religion, Johnny Cash, Tiger Army, Jawbreaker, The Traveling Wilburys (and each members' other ventures), Boston, Misfits, ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of the Dead, Sunset Rubdown, Hot Water Music, Titus Andronicus, Black Licorice, Blue Van Driving Down the Street, Catch 22, Descendents, Yoko Kanno, and a plethora of others. Every genre is diverse enough to have at least a few artists I enjoy, with the exception of all the subclasses metal seems to have (speed, heavy, black, death, thrash, etc. Why don't we just leave it at metal, or perhaps heavy metal?).

Food: Pizza, Pork Chops, Just about anything put into sandwich form. If I don't have at least 1 sandwich a day, I get cranky.

And if it came down to having to pick one favorite for each, it would have to be Catcher in the Rye (it may seem generic, but maybe that just shows how good the book is), Empire Records (perhaps not even the movie I enjoy most, but definitely the only one I have at any point known word for word), Drexel, and sandwiches in general, respectively.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Drexel CD: Shot By Lammi 2. CD Player 3. Super Nintendo Entertainment System 4. Moments of tranquility 5. Food 6. Water
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Insignificant things. I like to know how and why things work. I ask a lot of questions.

Also, I tend to narrate my own life in my head. Every pause I have in a conversation is due to me finishing the thought. It's not noticeable unless you know me well, and I'll remain attentive for all but the five seconds that my head is listing lazily off to the right.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Sleeping. This Loverboy is working for the weekend.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
