-Write/edit for an education company.
-Manage the comic book operations of the Midwest's largest Magic: the Gathering store. (I 100% promise I am not the stereotypical "Comic Book Guy," and damn it, I'm going to make my store not fall into that trap by any means necessary.)
Here's what I do for money occasionally:
-Play rock & roll in an acoustic cover band with some friends.
-Write academic papers about comic books and other pop culture-y stuff (I've written papers about Lady Gaga, the Joker, the X-Men, and Bruce Springsteen - ask me about them!).
Here's what I do for fun:
-Write sketches, host shows and produce podcasts for a local comedy group.
-And lots of other things! You can read more about them BELOW...!
Movies: Media-wise, this is probably my weakest point. You would seriously be amazed at the movies I haven't seen. In a pinch, though, I'd probably say my favorite movie is TEAM AMERICA: WORLD POLICE - front-to-back it's one of the funniest things I've ever seen. ("Favorite" doesn't mean I think it's the best movie ever... I just like it a ton).
Shows: I gravitate more towards comedies, like: Parks & Rec, Community (I didn't even hate the fourth season), South Park, Kroll Show, The League, Portlandia, Comedy Bang! Bang! (I love the podcast too), SNL, Childrens Hospital, NTSF:SD:SUV::.
Music: Springsteen is my spirit animal. In general I'm a rock guy, from classic to indie to hair metal (yeah, I know). Some particular acts I like a lot are the New Pornographers, Neko Case, Gaslight Anthem, They Might Be Giants, Okkervil River, and Murder by Death.
Food: I'm not super particular.

2) You want to (best reason to do anything)
3) Or, seriously, if you found a grammar error in here. I want to know.
For the longest time I didn't put anything in this section about what I'm looking for - it just feels so judge-y - but that seems to be the standard, so here ya go. Ideally you are relatively confident, relatively happy, and are super into something(s). I don't care what your interests are, I just hope that you have them so I can learn about them and we can nerd out together. Sense of humor is also really important; I want to be able to riff with someone and cast off not-super-funny asides just to get a cheap laugh, and I hope you're up for doing the same. Other than that, there aren't really any "must-haves" in a partner - just be cool and happy and we'll probably get along!
