She was earnest,
irreverent, and whimsical.

"I came upon a cache of old photos
And invitations to teenage parties
'Dress in white' one said with quotations
From someone's wife - a famous writer
In the 1920s
When you're young, you find inspiration
In anyone who's ever gone
And opened up a closing door
She said: 'We were never feeling bored'..."
~ Pet Shop Boys
"...she covered her face with powder and paint because she didn't need it and she refused to be bored chiefly because she wasn't boring. She was conscious that the things she did were the things she had always wanted to do."
~ Zelda Fitzgerald
"Dear Prudence, won't you come out to play
Dear Prudence, greet the brand new day
The sun is up, the sky is blue
It's beautiful and so are you
Dear Prudence, won't you come out and play?"
~ The Beatles
Nota Bene: I got so bored with all these men sending me loads 'n' loads of meaningless sex messages whilst COMPLETELY IGNORING the entirety of my profile (how utterly charming), I decided to rewrite it into a Victorian Gothic Surrealist Nightmare. I'm not normally this pretentious... haha. But none of this is a lie - I really do love all these things I listed! ;D

Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot. Like a towel, and a book of Vogon poetry...
Update: I've been told that the Fifty Shades of Grey book is very poorly written, and fails to cover some really important s*** like scene negotiation, limits, safe words, emergencies, and aftercare. A bit not good. I had been looking forward to the movie, as I became quite the Jamie Dornan fan after seeing him as the creepily sexy yet terrifying serial killer in The Fall (also starring Gillian Anderson as the police detective hot on his trail)... but the trailers for 50 Shades make it look like some sort of boring clichéd romantic comedy! I also heard from a Fetlifer that the film isn't even all that exciting or erotic, and that there are plenty of vanilla films out there that are more erotic than this. Distinctly inauspicious, I must say.
⛔ Important: Please understand that I am very uncomfortable with people using slang like
This has nothing to do with so-called 'political correctness' - it
is about being a compassionate human being and doing right by others. We should all be actively working against societal oppression of minorites, and towards universal equality.
NOTE: Just because I support the rights and safety of the citizens of Palestine, doesn't mean I support terrorism (quite the opposite!). Just because I am very critical of Israeli govt/military policy, doesn't mean I am against the welfare of the citizens of Israel. I'm for PEACE & LOVE EVERYWHERE! ✌ 🌍 Je ne suis pas Charlie, je suis Ahmed. Indeed!
