I've been living in (and digging) Portland for about two and a half years now. I moved up here from southern California (yeah yeah) because I love rain and cool weather, and I sure wasn't getting any of that there. And though I did live an hour east of LA, there was nothing to do where I actually lived. So, even though I didn't have any friends or family in the area, I packed up and moved, just like that.

Since I moved here, I've been making an effort to go out and experience new and exciting things, as well as trying to meet new and exciting people. The new and exciting people thing hasn't worked out particularly well, but new and exciting things are always around the corner. Most recent new and exciting thing: going to the coast. I know, right? Living on the edge.

I'm a really relaxed guy who likes fun, laid-back activities and rarely ever says no when invited out. I like to think I'm pretty cool.

*From his good friend, in more ways than one ;)* This guy is the #1 male I know. He has intelligent wit and he's a really good bad dancer and I love him mucho. Go out with him!

I am silly, honest, and uncomplicated

I've been unemployed for a while, but I have some savings, so I'm alright. Most days are spent hanging out with friends or sitting at home keeping myself busy with internet/video games/whatever. Occasionally, I think to myself, "Self, you should get a job" as well. I don't have any crazy goals or great aspirations, really. I just like to sit back and let life take me where it'll take me.

Video games! I'm also an excellent speller, and my friends hate me because I'm always correcting their grammar. I also give great advice, but nobody ever listens to me. Bunch of jerks.

Damned if I know. I actually kinda wish I knew. Maybe that I smile a lot?

Good books: Animal Farm, Ender's Game, Brave New World, 1984, Hitchhiker's "trilogy," first couple of Red Dwarf books, I Am America (and so can you!), The Tao of Pooh, the whole damn Calvin and Hobbes collection, and so on

Favorite movies: Braveheart, Spaceballs, Contact, The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Labyrinth, etc.

Favorite music: Classical, 80s, video game music. I also like The Decemberists and think Ace of Base is the greatest band/group/whatever ever

Favorite food: Pizza, Indian food, various junk foods, Chinese, Thai. Pretty much anything but seafood

Video games, television, the internet, and I guess the basic necessities for survival, I don't know

various things! I live on my own, so I've got a lot of time to think about stuff. Sometimes I get all introspective, sometimes I wonder why people behave the ways they do. Sometimes I think about space plans. I can't think of anything that really dominates my thoughts, but I bet if I said "the future," I'd score points with the cliche crowd

At home playing video games by myself. This question should've asked about Saturday nights! I do stuff Saturday nights. Not so much Friday nights, though.

It's not so much private since I'm pretty much an open book to anyone willing to ask some questions, but here's something that's a little unusual and possibly embarrassing: I can't ride a bike. I have awful balance on anything but my own two feet. Friends have tried to teach me, family have tried to teach me, but none have succeeded.

- You want to hang out and have a rad time
- You aren't looking for a dude who has a bunch of tattoos and piercings, or who lists 30 bands you've never heard of under "Favorite Music." Sorry I'm not a hipster doofus, Portland!

- You've got a lot of drama in your life and need someone to bitch to. Oh lordy, do I love hearing about other people's drama. (That probably sounds sarcastic, but I'm serious!)
