I am insightful, curious, and understanding.

My Self-Summary

30 something guy. I like beer, poker, video games, movies, coffee and biking, but not all at the same time.

What I’m doing with my life

** UPDATE **

Due to the current economic conditions (fuckin' economy...) I have found myself with an inordinate amount of free time. I realized that I have lived in this city almost my entire life but have rarely experienced anything outside of my cubicle. If you are looking for someone to go with you to check out that new restaurant, catch a show, hear some local music or generally explore the city, hit me up. I'm your guy.

Note: This is not a guarantee of sex. I am picky and assume that you are as well. I can only promise good company.

I’m really good at

Database design, software development, network troubleshooting, making obscure pop culture references, playing poker, trail riding (mountain bike, not horses), and generally being awesome.

The first things people usually notice about me

My voice. I used to work in radio when I was in college. Either that or my hair.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

The Original Trilogy, Rush, NIN, 8-bit music, Radiohead, Sigur Ros, William Gibson, Java, web development, databases, sql, indian food, VHS or Beta, Douglas Coupland

The six things I could never do without

1. My friends & family. 2. Internet access. 3. A computer with a good text editor and a copy of the latest Java SDK. 4. SOMETHING to read. 5. Hmmm...kinda running out of things. I dunno - I guess I'm pretty easy. 6. This bottle of Mt. Dew that I'm holding in my hand. Dear God, it's almost...EMPTY!

I spend a lot of time thinking about

...what it would be like to trade brains with one or more of the following: Hawking, Feynman, Gibson, Torvalds, The Woz, Brak, Stallman, and Ridley Scott.

On a typical Friday night I am

Relaxing from the week. Take that as you will.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I am a *huge* geek.

You should message me if

You are at least half as awesome as me. And yes, there is a test.

I'm AlexTage on AIM. Feel free to stalk me - everyone else does.
