I am open minded, honest, and easy going.

My Self-Summary

I'm an unemployed recent graduate with no direction or plans for the immediate future...are you turned on yet?

I am polyamorous, and no it's not because I just haven't met the right girl yet. I'm interested in meeting more polyamorous people. I only know a couple and would love to expand that network.

My interests include photography, film and the Gyllenhalls. I love meeting people who can introduce me to new experiences, whether its an obscure author or a hidden dumpling restaurant.

What I’m doing with my life

I work part time making documentaries and corporate vids.
In my spare time I am creating a multimedia resource for people dealing with coming out issues. That project tends to consume most of my life and should I secure funding will do so for the next few years. Plants v Zombies pretty much takes up the rest of my time.

I’m really good at

Camera work and lighting, apparently editing though not my favourite thing to do, pretending I am oblivious to how bad I am at dancing, I've been told I am a good listener, making risotto and sensing from clear across the city when someone has put a DVD back in non-alphabetical order.

The first things people usually notice about me

My smile is the usual answer I get to this. I am a very quiet person when you first meet me. I'm not shy, just a little awkward at times and until I establish a dynamic with someone I am quite often stuck for something to say. If this happens when we meet please don't mistake it for disinterest.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books - The HVX Book, anything on photography or lighting, Kim Harrison, Neil Gaiman, William Goldman, The Ethical Slut.

Movies - Anything by George Romero, Sam Raimi, Angela Robinson, the Wachowski brothers, Jaimi Babbit, Eileen Chaiken. Specific movies are Night of the Living Dead series, Child's Play series, Superstar, Donnie Darko, Fight Club, Juno, Bound, But I'm a Cheerleader, DEBS, Serenity, Go, Down With Love...I better stop but you get the idea.

Music - I generally love anything with good bass but I listen to almost everything. My iTunes library looks like it is a mixture of about 5 people's collections and probably is - thanks various foster kids!

Food - I am a sucker for mashed potato but I try not to eat it too often. I go mad over peanut butter and spicy food. This is very important though - no chicken thigh fillets. ever.

The six things I could never do without

A camera, my friends, my family, clothes, food and a comfy bed. Everything else is expendable.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

My projects and other career related stuff (its great when you can legitimately claim that watching the latest season of 30 Rock is 'career related'). I also spend a lot of time thinking about relationships and internal moral consistency.

On a typical Friday night I am

Usually out with a friend or partner or drinking cider in my boxer shorts at home.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I have an unnatural fear of puppets. Mostly Muppets, but finger puppets have been known to stalk me as well.

You should message me if

You are willing to tell me that my bum dance is sexy. And you know that depth of field has nothing to do with sex.
