Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am a kid at heart that views adulthood as a "fake it 'til you
make it" sort of deal.
I am a spectacular example of rubber-necking grace.
I am not impressed by all the shinny things you own.
I am impressed by all the creature-comforts that you've thrown to
the wayside for the sake of chasing a dream.
I've traveled around enough that "home" feels like a foreign
concept, and sometimes this disturbed me...but I'm usually
confident with where I'm at.
I've navigated across countries with only the sun as my
I place more importance on directions rather than plans.
I am a bit if a hobo, and I'm not ashamed to just be "me"... I hope
the same for you.
I am a work in progress...much like this profile.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I moved to Ottawa a few years back after quitting (or trying to
quit) my consulting job designing rivers. How's that for weird?
Why? Well for one, living in a town that's a block long doesn't
make for much of a social life, but more importantly, I reached the
end of a 5 year plan and it was time for a new adventure. So now I
find myself here in Ottawa doing more school in the hopes of
permanently situating myself in the ivory tower where it's
perfectly acceptable (and perhaps a requirement) to be eccentric
and come up with wild ideas about how things work. I guess the end
goal is to find a job that doesn't feel like work and pays my way
to travel around the world.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I've been told by people that I remind them of "home" so...I'm good
Side note: I find this compliment both highly flattering and super
ironic since constantly following new opportunities has left me
feeling like a bit of a vagrant at times.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
First my smile and laid back attitude. Second, "you're just so easy
to talk to". Third, the rift between the book and the cover.

I'm too curious about everything, so to keep this list below 10,000
lines, let's hit the no-no's
Food: shellfish (I've discovered it's delicious, and I've developed
an allergy)...and feeding me tartar will induce a gag reflex.
Music: new country (though my uncle's insist that their concerts
have the best hottie to dude ratio).
Movies: the silent variety...loud explosions dull the sound of
noisy make-out sessions (kidding, but true)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

4) passport (both physical and metaphorical)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The scientist: fluid mechanics, turbulence and other nerdy
The person: debating whether I'm doing "life" right or wrong,
debating whether to focus on the present or the future, and how
fill it with ALL the best "stuff"...."deep thoughts, brah"
Ps: also the terrible disconnect between how people present
themselves online versus in person. I've tried to paint an accurate
rather than an indealized picture of myself, and I'm a firm
believer that "mild character flaws" are essentially what defines
your character as a whole - embrace them!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I lack a filter ( I'll let you decide whether that's an answer or a
thinly veiled attempt to get you to ask a question).
