My self-summary
My name is Justin. Seattle's sort of a tough place to meet new people and people tell me there's no stigma to online dating anymore, so here I am. I'm just a regular guy looking for a special lady to prop up my fragile ego and fill the assorted voids in my life. lol jk

Things I like:

Shows.
Cats.
Books.
Cartoons.

Things I love:

Hard-boiled detective stories (Hammett, Chandler, etc)
Dogs.
MMA fights.
Best pals.
Movies.
What I’m doing with my life
"Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself."

- George Bernard Shaw

(I use quotes a lot when I write. I don't see the sense in using my own clumsy prose when someone else has said what I want to say so much better. In other words, I'm not just pretentious but intellectually lazy)

I run my own web and mobile development company. It's small, just me and sometimes one other guy, but I'm real excited about it. It hasn't made me rich yet (or poor, which is pretty important), but - and to be completely realistic - it is going to make a million billion dollars.

Besides work, I live a pretty active lifestyle. Between lifting, running, and boxing, I'm at the gym most days.
I’m really good at
I'm reasonably good at the fiddle. I've studied classical violin for about 20 years.

I also play a little guitar, and I'm good at math and math-type stuff.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books
Authors: Dashiell Hammett, Raymond Chandler, Graham Greene, Ernest Hemingway, Russell Banks, Robert Penn Warren, Edgar Allan Poe, Truman Capote, Neal Stephenson

Movies
Directors: Alejandro Amenábar, Sidney Lumet, Alfred Hitchcock, Michael Mann, Akira Kurosawa, Krzysztof Kieslowski, David Cronenberg, Christopher Nolan, John Woo, Martin Scorsese, Coen Brothers

Music
Hall and Oates, etc.

TV
I love shows about cops who don't play by the rules. Also Celebrity Autopsy, it's my guiltiest pleasure
The six things I could never do without
“there is nothing outside of yourself that can ever enable you to get better, stronger, richer, quicker, or smarter. Everything is within. Everything exists. Seek nothing outside of yourself."

- Miyamoto Musashi, The Book of Five Rings

That being said, I will literally die without the following material things (God I love things):

- My smartphone. At the very least, I need it for work.

- Caffeine. The last time I went without it for a day, I developed an absolutely horrific, soul-destroying headache.

- My instruments (fiddle and guitars)

- My books. I love my books.

- My computer, which I also need for work. Although recently, some prankster has loaded it up with porn somehow

- Hot sauce.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
what exotic pet I should get once I'm finally rich. Maybe a wallaby.
On a typical Friday night I am
I'm self-employed, so I live for the weekday. All the normal people with normal jobs (like you, probably. Ha ha ha!) are at work, so no crowds/lines for stuff.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I like to cook. That's not especially embarrassing, just a little incongruous what with me being such a hard badass.

The older I get, the more patience I have for crying babies. Which is weird.

Sometimes when people ask me why I don't drink, I say I joined the Nation of Islam because it's funny for about two seconds.
