When he left, he was but a boy: starry-eyed and full of insecurity. Now, upon his return, he sees the world through new eyes. Not literally, of course, because that would be creepy. Figuratively, yes. Figurative new eyes.
Now, vision firmly set upon his goal, he places one foot in front of the other determined not to let the hidden trials that lay before him slow him or knock him down.
I'm a goof. A good natured goof and a pretty big nerd. I grew up watching 80's and 90's cartoons, reading sci-fi and fantasy books, building computers and running track. One of these things is not like the others, I realize. I am that rare nerd that was not physically frail or overwhelmingly socially inept. you know, the one that, like Bigfoot or Jimmy Hoffa are rumored to exist but for the existence of which there is seldom more than anecdotal evidence.
I'm looking to expand my social circles a bit, and perhaps meet a Lady to take my arm and have some adventures about town, or take day-trips to LA or maybe SF (where i have never been and I am aware that day-trips to SF aren't really a thing). Traveling, even short distances gives you new perspective to see the world with. it is great fun, and having company for it makes it all the better.
Life is cheapened without the value of the shared experience.
