My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
This is the part of our story where Our Hero, Sir Charles (that's me) returns to the city where he was raised and finds it both the same and very, very different.
When he left, he was but a boy: starry-eyed and full of insecurity. Now, upon his return, he sees the world through new eyes. Not literally, of course, because that would be creepy. Figuratively, yes. Figurative new eyes.
Now, vision firmly set upon his goal, he places one foot in front of the other determined not to let the hidden trials that lay before him slow him or knock him down.

I'm a goof. A good natured goof and a pretty big nerd. I grew up watching 80's and 90's cartoons, reading sci-fi and fantasy books, building computers and running track. One of these things is not like the others, I realize. I am that rare nerd that was not physically frail or overwhelmingly socially inept. you know, the one that, like Bigfoot or Jimmy Hoffa are rumored to exist but for the existence of which there is seldom more than anecdotal evidence.

I'm looking to expand my social circles a bit, and perhaps meet a Lady to take my arm and have some adventures about town, or take day-trips to LA or maybe SF (where i have never been and I am aware that day-trips to SF aren't really a thing). Traveling, even short distances gives you new perspective to see the world with. it is great fun, and having company for it makes it all the better.
Life is cheapened without the value of the shared experience.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Teaching myself C++
Thinking about big pictures, tryin' to organize my life so as to get to where I want to be financially and personally.
Tyrin to not take life too seriously.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
enjoying, but remaining critical of movies, regaling audiences (even audiences of one) with random (read useless) information on a myriad subjects. being scatterbrained. with great volumes of information comes great flighty thoughts.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've heard I have striking eyes? I dunno... you tell me? I tip my hat if I'm wearing one, and I use archaic syntax. and...words like syntax... or archaic.

J.D. Salinger, George R. R. Martin, Isaac Asimov, Robert Heinlein, Phillip K. Dick, Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy, catch 22, Zen and the Ways, Grimm's Fairy tales, others that don't come to mind

I don't watch mainstream cable TV. Pretty much everything I watch is movies (mainly as background noise) or good TV on DVD (Avatar: Last Air Bender, Walking Dead, Doll House, Firefly, Castle et al)

As for movies. slice of life movies are among my favorites (aka road movies), some action/adventure, drama, some dark comedies. I loathe stupid humor (bridesmaids/hangover/borat et al) beyond some obscure titles, I like a lot of the usual; indiana jones, aliens, inception, tr0n, you know what i mean.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
-Music,
-my sketchbook/pencils,
-hope (cheese factor is high, I know and NOT in a religious sense),
-the past, because it has made me who I am today.
-delicious food (because good food and drink make life way better),
-and good company for the same reason. friends enrich our lives and allow us to better understand ourselves
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
what to write or draw about next, how to best tell the story (visually or written), what I am doing to further my personal goals. Also, where I see myself down the line.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
occasionally out with friends, usually tryin to find something to do and somebody to do stuff with. Reading and/or netflix are usually common.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I would much rather live in a place that has rain 200+ days a year, than sun 200+ days a year? what do people put here, anyway?
