What I’m doing with my life

Research and writing a book on problems of social justice (Modeling a Just Global Order); editing academic journal articles and books; working with my hands doing woodwork and staying in extremely good physical condition. Currently employed by a small wonderfully eccentric software company in Barcelona, Spain, as director of technical and administrative services for an area of their business that has an amazing reach throughout Europe and the states. I get to travel a lot, which I like. I also set my own working hours and style, which is mandatory for me.

The first things people usually notice about me

My face, my dignity, my tranquility, and my warmth.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books, books, books . . . sigh. So many good reads. I tend toward nonfiction, heady stuff. I'm a lunatic philosopher, I can't help it. Current focus: Buddhist philosophy and practice.
I love film.
I was the 1981 Composers Fellow to the New Mexico Music Festival in Taos.
I owned a catering business in Taos and Santa Fe and a restaurant in Aspen. I'm committed to slow, nutritious, and tasty food, something that the Spanish understand with a passion.
I love it all, the wild, the weird, the wacky, and the wonderful.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

The problems of the human condition, writ large.
