I like to laugh a lot, even when it's entirely inappropriate. I try to stay away from all kinds of conflict and confrontation, and when I can't stay away I resolve the matter with logic and civil discussion. Unless the confrontation happens to be with a mountain lion, in which case I resolve the situation by raising my jacket over my head to try to appear larger and more intimidating than I am.
I like goofy things, fantasy, science fiction, dry humor, puns, sitcoms, and of course music. I play a lot of music, and I research contemporary music a lot of the time as kind of a hobby. I'm not really an audiophile or a purist. I think there's merit to music in all eras, styles, cultures, and so forth. The main determining factor is whether or not it sounds good to my ears. I'll leave the academic arguing to the people without anything better to do.
I guess I should also talk about some things I dislike. I dislike when people say that I/they/we "need" to do something, instead of merely suggesting it. I dislike when people use song lyrics in place of descriptions of their mood. I dislike it when people intentionally do harmless things that a particular person has some sort of problem with just for the sake of getting under their skin. I dislike people who blindly follow, but I really dislike people who challenge everything and anything for no apparent reason other than for the sake of challenging it. I dislike it when people throw up gang signs, or whatever it's called. I dislike people who say "yeah-yuh," and who find it necessary to scream their assent every time somebody mentions liquor, drugs, dancing, or parties. I suppose those are the main ones.
