Who am I? ... I'm Batman. Sorry, I couldn't help it. I would
describe myself as someone who is happy about where he is in life
despite his best efforts to mess it up. Adulthood kind of snuck up
on me, but now that it's here, I am kind of glad it showed up. I am
lucky in that I have family and friends that care about me and I
have a job that not only am I good at, but it's one I actually
like. This whole "being an adult" is not half bad. Except for
paying bills. That will always suck.
One of my gifts in life is that I can pretty much get along with
anybody. It's a pretty nice skill to have professionally and I
rarely have bad first dates. On a side note, I have never
understood people who have bad first dates. I mean, it's a first
date. You probably know very little about your date. Unless you are
dealing with the most socially awkward person in the world, there
is going to be stuff to talk about. Now that I am writing this out,
I think that I may actually enjoy going on first dates.
I think I should take this time to admit that I am a bit of a
foodie. I mean, we live in Atlanta. It should be a crime if you are
not at least trying to hit up some new restaurant. There seems to
be an endless supply of new places to try here. Recent favorites
are The Iberian Pig, Serpas and Fritti.
I am looking for a partner in crime. Someone who is educated, likes
exploring Atlanta, won't get mad at me when we get lost (this will
happen a lot, I am terrible at directions), enjoys witty banter and
is not afraid to call me on my BS.
That's all for now. If you want to know more, I guess we will just
have to meet in person.
What I’m doing with my life
I just accepted a job in healthcare PR. We represent technology
companies serving the healthcare industry. Weird that I ended up in
PR considering I went to school for psychology, but here I am and
I’m really good at
Communication. I like to talk. Don't judge me.
The first things people usually notice about me
Other than my sweet ass. My eyes, sense of humor or something like
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Music: This changes all the time but there are some staples... The
Beatles, Tribe Called Quest, The Doors, Lemon Jelly, Goodie Mob;
Pearl Jam, Ke$ha (apparently, I have to clarify that the "Ke$ha"
thing is a joke)
Books: The Road, Needful Things, World War Z, A Clash of Kings,
Ready Player One
Movies: Almost Famous, Braveheart, The Dark Knight, Gladiator,
Black Hawk Down, There Will be Blood, Super Bad
Food: Pizza, Mexican, Indian, Italian. Oh, and anything sold at a
bakery. Baked goods are my weakness.
The six things I could never do without
Car, computer, phone and TIVO. I guess I would be fine without
TIVO, but it would be awkward for everyone involved. And definitely
friends and famiy ... those count as "things", right?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
If it is a good idea to invest a lot of money in a sofa. My gut
On a typical Friday night I am
Bar, restaurant, at a friends house, at home catching up on
sleep... depends on my mood.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I kind of like reading people's profiles on OKC even though I might
not be interested.
You should message me if
You like witty banter and want to spend time with a good looking
nice guy. At least that is what my mom says :)
