For the record: I am 5'9"

I read on the OKCupid blog that they have been data mining info and it shows that most guys will add an inch or two to their height because women like taller guys. I wish I was 5'11" or 6'0" but I am in fact, 5'9". I say this because I don't want you all assuming I am 5'5".

They also said that women prefer pics of guys that don't smile or look away from the camera. That, to me, is weird but I'll go with the flow. According to them, women will contact guys that are not hot. Since I don't get tons of email I guess most of you consider me hot. That's nice to know.

Either that or my personality really sucks. :-)

I am a software architect and a major nerd. Actually I am an atypical nerd because I don't live in my parent's basement and I don't own a collection of action figures plus I am not a bad dancer for a white boy. ;)

Harry Potter, Enders Game, Speaker for the Dead, Dresden Files series, most books by Dean Koontz, Douglas Adams, Michio Kaku, The Singularity is Near, John Burdett's Bangkok series, books by Tracy Qwan, books on Quantum mechanics....and so much more. I read 2 to 3 books a week.

Movies:
Die Hard, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Forrest Gump, Dumb and Dumber, Dude Where's my car, most romantic comedies, Shawn of the Dead, Matrix, Dark City, The Game, pyschological thrillers and movies that are a complete mindfuck. I'm also sucker for sentimental movies like The Notebook and A Walk in the Clouds.

I'm actually serious about this. I'm very good at software design but I spend too much time at work doing day to day stuff that I miss certain trends. But now I am thinking about the ways we currently use the web and mobile computers/phones over the next 5 to 10 years and I have some really new innovative ideas.
