My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I have lived in San Francisco for 19 years. I know a ton of its hidden nooks and crannies. I want to know even more. It blows my mind to think that Dec. 2014 will be my 20th anniversary of my move to SF.

Half of me believes that nothing is ever going to work out in this lifetime. The other half of me believes in magic. Cynical optimism...

I found this website while reading Questionable Content. I used to own a rock and roll club in San Francisco, but it closed in 2008. I love live music. Was a big Deadhead when there was a Grateful Dead. Love Phish. My parents raised me on Broadway, so I love musicals more than a straight man should. I am originally from New Jersey, and have no shame about it. Love The Decemberists and any Jack White project. Last big music trip was to see My Morning Jacket at One Big Holiday in Mexico with 40 other SF friends. It was a magical experience. I have a dog named Bucky. He is the best. I used to be in a theater troupe. I acted in a Shakesperean version of The Big Lebowski. It was a blast. I am thinking about directing a play.

I work at, at the Armory on 14th & Mission. It's fun working in a castle.

I would love someone to cuddle and discuss geeky movies, TV and music in between makeout sessions. Someone who can understand that bigger men can be amazing lovers. Someone who is interested in coming into my world but still has a world of their own for me to share. Someone who I feel like a better man to be around, and feels like a better woman around me.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm trying to get it all together. I live in an enormous warehouse in the dogpatch. I have a dog that I spend almost 24 hours a day with, he comes to work with me, which is awesome. We spend the weekends running around. I see more live music than most people, but not all...I see more movies than most, but not all. I would like my life to be a little simpler than it is. Don't see that happening any time soon.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Self deprecation. I am like the BEST self deprecator EVER. No, wait...I suck at self deprecation...I have no idea how to do it. I'm the worst self deprecator in the whole world.

Is deprecator even a word? It would have to be, right?
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I smile and make others smile. That I have a large group of friends. That I love a large variety of music. That I am cynical and sarcastic and funny as fuck.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Recent books: The Contortionists Handbook by Craig Clevenger and King Dork by Frank Portman, I've read every Neil Gaiman comic book and novel. I am currently reading The Dream of Perpetual Motion by Dexter Palmer and really enjoying it, even though I am forming a theory about ADD and modern writing because of it.

Movies: Too many to name. Short Cuts, Until The End of the World, Brazil. Gilliam, Coen Brothers, Wes Anderson, PT Anderson. The Christopher Nolan Batman films, Brick, The 5000 Fingers of Dr. T.

Music: I like stuff from every genre if it is good. Not into electronic music, prefer bands, but just started listening to Daft Punk and it's amazing. Tom Waits and The Residents are two of my favorites. I was a Deadhead when they were alive. I see Phish live. I love Jack White. Wait, this is all in my profile!

TV: LOST (until the last episode), Fringe, 24, EVERY SINGLE THING JOSS WHEDON HAS EVER DONE, Eastbound and Down, Weeds, Breaking Bad, The Wire, Arrested Development, 30 Rock, I am not 100% anti-reality programming, but it is not my favorite. Jersey Shore was an amazing train wreck to watch for the first season or two. Sorry about yelling about Joss Whedon.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. My friends
2. My dog Bucky
3. Music
4. Movies
5. The sun
6. Makeouts
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What to do next. How to become more interesting by being more boring...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
At a concert, movie, or something with a ton of friends. But I would rather be on a date. Lately Friday has been popcorn and a movie in the warehouse.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I was married for 11 years to a woman who went to Burning Man in 2007, changed her name to Sandwich, and I never saw her again. She just had a kid and named it Buckaroo. I am not making any of this up.
