I am Caring, Faithful, and Honest.
My Self-Summary
Hiya!
My name is Mark...no, not Robin I'm afraid but hopefully that won't
put you off too much! I'm a caring and easy-going guy who's here in
the hope of meeting that special someone.
I'm not really one to blow my own trumpet though so I thought I'd
copy something from a card one of my (female) friends sent to me
last year. I replaced the names with X's...
"Now you're probably wondering why on earth I'm sending you this
card. But I wanted to thank you for being so good to me when XXXXX
and I had our little disagreement. I know it was a while ago now
but I've wanted to thank you ever since. Anyway, I know how lucky I
am to have friends like you and I hope you never feel like I don't
appreciate you. Now I know how fantastic you are so don't let
anybody be telling you any different. I've got a little speech
about you that I can convince anyone of your unique brilliantness.
I'll save it for a rainy day. Don't let anybody try to bring you
down. Love always, XXXXX"
What I’m doing with my life
Just generally trying to keep myself busy with different things. I
like going to the
Gym,
helping people,
running,
driving and
listening to
music (Maybe not all at once
though!)
I'm happy staying in spending time together in front of a good
DVD but also enjoy
going out to the
Cinema,
Restaurants and
Nightclubs. I like
travelling about and
going on
holidays
whenever I can too; my last holiday was to Orlando in Florida which
was great fun :) I also like trying new things - I'm going to start
planning a
Skydive
for charity soon so I'm looking forward to that...I think :-S
One of my brother's is the drummer in a local band called
TheDollars which also
helps keep me busy – I’m their
Roadie so I tag along to all their
gigs and help out
where I can. It can be tiring sometimes but it’s all good
fun! I know I’m biased but
they’re great at what they do so if you get chance you should check
‘em out on the
website I made for them:
TheDollars.co.uk
Aside from all that I'm blessed with a Full-time job as a
Web Master &
Administrator.
I’m really good at
Getting on with
people has to be one of my strong points.
I don't have any enemies (as far as I know!) and I've never been in
a punch-up. All of my
friends are really nice (
klacy1981 is one of them!) My
Dad is a great man and I think I'm quite a lot like him. I'm a good
listener and always happy to help
people where I can. I try my best to be
there for
people
and always treat others as I would like to be treated myself.
I've got a bit of a
creative side which brings out the
perfectionist in me! I was pretty
good at Fine
Art back
at school but haven't really stuck with it. It's something I'd
definitely love to get back into when I have more time and
space.
I'm not bad with
computers either but that's a bit
boring!
I'm trying my best to keep myself
fit and
healthy with the
running and visits to the local
Gym.
Vindaloo's aside I try my best not
to eat too much rubbish either!
Sports-wise I like
cycling,
swimming and the odd game of
Badminton and
Pool.
Here's a few other random words I'd probably use to describe
myself...Faithful, Honest, Traditional, Organised, Patient, Loyal,
Tidy, Respectful, Committed and Waffly Versatile!
The first things people usually notice about me
People seem to
notice my long eyelashes, my white teeth and my Harry Potter scar!
Probably also that I look younger than my age but I'll be thankful
of that in a few years time!
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: I wish
I had more time to
read but when I do I'll give anything a
try. The last
book I
read was '
Tuesday's with Morrie'
by
Mitch
Albom.
Movies and
TV: I'll happily
watch most things but I love a good
horror movie - The scarier the better! A few
films that come to
mind are The
Lord of the Rings and
The Matrix
Trilogies,
Face/Off,
The Rock and
The Shawshank
Redemption. Some of my fave
horrors are
Saw,
The Ring,
The Grudge and
The Blair Witch Project
Franchises. As for
TV,
my favourite programmes at the moment are
Lost,
Hustle,
FoneJacker and
Robin Hood (Obviously).
Music: My
music taste is one
of the most varied you'll ever see so it would probably be easier
to list
music I
don't like instead! I like some that everyone has heard of and some
that hardly anybody has heard of. My favourite genres are
Pop,
Rock &
Dance. I have a massive
CD Collection and you'll never see me
driving without one playing in the background. If I had to choose
one all-time favourite band it would be
Queen. My albums of the moment have to be
those by
Placebo.
Food: My
favourite food is
Chicken Vindaloo - Extra hot
please! I'd like to give a medal to whoever invented it...a big,
shiny one! At the moment we have a
curry night every Thursday but to be
honest I’d eat that stuff every day if I could!
Pasta comes a close second but
generally if it's hot and
spicy I'll eat it! My favourite flavour is
Cherry but for some
strange reason I don't like Cherries.
People?!: I'd like to meet
Freddie
Mercury,
Princess Diana,
Michael Jackson and
Rachel
Stevens but that's not gonna happen so I'm happy just meeting
some new people who are into similar things, live a bit closer and
are preferably still alive.
The six things I could never do without
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The
future and what
I want from life...A
family, a nice
home, financial
security but above all else, to be
happy and healthy.
On a typical Friday night I am
If I'm going out I can usually be found living it up with
friends either at
Cucamara,
Squares,
Liberty's Bar,
Rock City or
Oceana in
Nottingham.
Recently if I'm not gigging with the band I tend to go out on a
Saturday instead though. On Friday’s I usually end up
chilling out in a
nice hot
bath with a
book or
magazine, a glass of
chilled
wine and some
cool background music.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I'm right-handed but despite this I'm left-footed and eat with my
knife and fork the 'other' way around.
I think that lots of good
friendships are built on spontaneity
but I also think that the best relationships are built on good
friendships -
I'd like to meet someone who I can be best friends with and then
see where things go, I think that would be a good place to start.
So based on that during a first date I’d like to do something where
we can both just
relax and get to know each other better,
maybe just a few quiet
drinks somewhere nice. However saying
that I’m still open for suggestions!
You should message me if
If you're looking for a nice guy who will be there for you and
treat you right. I'm hoping to meet a nice,
classy girl who doesn't want your typical
football-obsessed bloke who treats girls badly and acts up around
his mates. I'm a genuine guy who needs a genuine girl.
If you think you might be my
Maid Marian send me a message!
