I was fortunate to start with dual citizenship and two languages. Born on US Naval Base in Rota, Spain. Got to experience diversity growing up in Germany, Morocco, Puerto Rico and several US States (NY, Virginia and Florida).
Lucky to get to Miami in time to finish High school and start College. Majored in Broadcasting which included a favorite: Photography. Luck and education continued in Orlando where I studied Film at the University of Central Florida with the makers of the Blair Witch Project. Pretty Cool, huh? While waiting for degree took extra film courses at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
Creative ambition lead me to Hollywood, California in 1995, where I transitioned into an official actor. Joined the Screen Actors Guild and did Background and Special Skills work. While there was told how good things were for Film / TV in Canada and first considered the move. A Visa was required. So taking into account that great achievements involve great risk, I took advantage of degree and taught English in Asia.
Went to Seoul then Tokyo. Taught English, did Voice work plus acting. Then after two years in a place where I did not speak the language, got an offer in Spain where and reunited with family. My sister, nephew and sometimes my mother live there along with a few aunts, uncles and cousins.
Settled in Madrid where I used resourcefulness to start a luggage storage business. This allowed the flexibility to audition and act. Was featured in mostly commercials, a few features and even was an American accent coach once. From there I attempted to immigrate to Canada, but found it made more sense to go to the UK first and try from there. So in August 2007 I moved to London, UK.
From London, UK I started the Canadian immigration process. While there I continued acting and took acting, voice and singing classes at the City Lit and Morley College. Even though I had been acting for a while I had no formal training. Then in April 2011 I got my Canadian Visa and booked my flight. I considered Vancouver, but thought Toronto had more potential for work, exploring and new adventure.
I try to live a good, honorable life and practice moderation. Being active, healthy and keeping fit are important. I enjoy exploring (hiking / traveling) and going places I've never been before at least once a week. I respect myself / others and take responsibility for my actions. I can be a bit ambitious / overzealous but when I make mistakes, I take immediate steps to fix them. I'm open to change, without compromising my values. Even though I like spending time alone each day, I enjoy socializing with quality people. Overall, I'm happy with my life and the only thing that would truly make it better is finding the right person to share it with.
We could check out the Royal Ontario Museum. Take the ferry to the Toronto Islands. Visit the St. Lawrence Market. Explore the Harbourfront where we can rent skates to take ice skating at Colonel Samuel Smith Park. Take pictures of cool neighborhoods like the Distillery Historic District, Art Gallery of Ontario, Hockey Hall of Fame, Elgin & Winter Garden Theatre Centre and Queen West for example. Or if the weather is bad, walk the underground path from Union Station to Trinity Square. We can also do stuff like go to the movies, comedy clubs and outdoor festivals or go bowling (five pin or regular) and shoot pool.
The best relationship is one in which your love for each other exceeds your need for each other. I'd like to find the right woman to share that kind of love with. So if you'd like to join me and turn my story into our story then please drop me a line. ;-) If we have the right chemistry, we could write a few new chapters together.
