Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a laid back kind of guy. I'm not quick to anger but can be
passionate and anyone who knows me will tell you I'm a nice,
courteous person. I'm usually somewhat reserved and quiet around
people I haven't gotten to know yet, though lately I've learned to
not care as much about being judged as long as I'm happy with how I
carry mysef in creed and conduct. However, I am a good listener. I
don't party and club really, though I may go out for drinks now and
then. I'm pursuing a career in law enforcement so I of course
believe in obeying the law, I'm pretty much a straight arrow nice
guy, so if you're looking for the "bad boy" look elsewhere. That
being said, I'm not super critical or judgey about it nor do I put
myself on some high horse.
I end up spending a lot of time at home but I do like to get out
and do new things, so I'm looking for someone that will push me to
get out and do things but can also chill regularly. I'm definitely
a pet person. Right now I have two cats but grew up with both cats
and dogs (labs) and miss having one.
I'm a gamer, bowler, sports fiend. I'm a die hard A's fan and have
season tickets (don't worry giants fans, I still root for the
giants just not nearly as much and not when playing the A's).
Basically all bay area sports teams but the A's are #1.
I consider myself a middle of the road kind of person, politically
and about social values. I'd say I'm mostly liberal, but I strongly
believe in a strong military and the 2nd amendment. I'm always game
for rational political discussion, but keeping it civil with mutual
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I have a degree in Criminal Justice and I'm currently pursuing a
career in law enforcement. Currently working in a global security
operations center for a tech company.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm an avid bowler and my average is hovering around 200.
Building things that come disassembled (and reading instruction
manuals that don't make much sense.) IKEA does not scare me
Cuddling and keeping you warm. I've been designated a personal body
heater in past relationships :)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
How much I look like my father if they know him. Or that I'm an A's
fan due to the fact that I'm usually wearing some A's apparel haha.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: I greatly enjoy reading. I probably read 3-4 books a month.
I mostly read sci-fi novels and fantasy novels. Anything by David
Weber or John Ringo. John Scalzi and Heinlein are good. And of
Movies: Action and Sci-Fi are my go-to movies. The rise in
popularity of comic book hero movies has been fun to watch. If you
ask me to choose between Star Trek or Star Wars for favorite
franchise, I'd have to go Star Wars, but trek is good too. I'm not
afraid to branch out and dramas and comedies are fun. I'm not a
harsh movie critic, so it has to be really really bad for me to
TV: My favorite currently running shows that I actively look
forward to each week are The Flash, Game of Thrones, The Amazing
Race, NCIS, Bones. I could go on, I watch a lot of shows that run
the gamut of genres.
Music: I have and listen to all kinds of music, from classical
orchestra to hip hop. country is probably what I listen to the
least, but not because I dislike it - it's just not my first
choice. I mostly like rock/metal. All time favorite is Metallica,
followed by Disturbed. Lately I've been all about bands with women
vocalists, Halestorm, In this Moment, The Pretty Reckless etc.. I
also love pretty much all 80s music.
Food: I like a wide variety of foods from different cultures. I
can't handle very spicy foods so Indian is not one I try often. My
best dining experience was Fogo de Chao, a brazilian steak house on
santana row in San Jose. The food is amazing and the service is
second to none. I'm always down for a good mushroom burger and I
think the local Chipotle workers recognize me. Can't pass up a good
burrito or good Chinese place.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Not in a priority order but:
3. Being able to watch my A's & Sharks!
4. Being able to exercise my 2A rights.
5. A good book to read.
6. my friends.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Planning out what I want to get done during that day.
What my next move for my career goals should be.
Things I enjoy
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either at an A's game, at a new movie, or at home relaxing.
