Hey there! I'm Nate. Just trying this site out to meet people. I love making new friends and I'm pretty easy to get along with because of my easy-going personality. I'm into almost all kinds of art (not just drawing or painting). Of course, being an architect, that's a given. I've really picked up on photography a lot within the past year or so. Never imagined I would enjoy it so much. I've also recently picked up on yoga and martial arts (karate mostly). Both are fascinating and I've been thinking about making them part of my daily life. Family means a lot to me because they're very encouraging, especially my little sister. My friends are one-of-a-kind. Wouldn't trade them for anything.

I've lived my entire life in Missouri, but I've lived in almost every corner of the state. Some day I want to move out and experience other cultures around the U.S., and eventually the world. I'll be in Greece in a few years studying abroad, and who knows where else. Maybe I'll get to visit parts of Asia someday, like Japan!

I'm currently studying at DU for my Masters in architecture with a focus on sustainability and technology, along with several minors. All my time goes into my studies, so I don't work a full time job. I get my money from freelance designs through my step-father's welding business. I'm still not set on what I want to do when I graduate (still have 3+ years to go), but I think I'll start out at a small firm and work my way up from there.

I like to volunteer as much as I can, and I'm currently doing a lot with Habitat For Humanity. I was in the Big Brother Big Sister program for a while, but had to leave due to the increasing amount of work I was getting from my design studio. I'd like to go back one day because I enjoy working with children.

I'm also a ninja. But that's all hush hush :)

Cooking. That probably sounds weird coming from a guy, but I enjoy it very much and have been told I'm pretty good. I'm also good at making people laugh, whether by telling jokes or doing something goofy. I'm also quite good at being friendly and well-mannered, as well as engaging in meaningful conversations and being honest with everyone. I'm more of a listener than a conversation starter, so I've been told I'm pretty good at coming up with great advice, or at least making people feel better just by letting them release their worries or frustrations. At some point I'd like to get back on my guitar and become good at that as well, but I can't find much time to do so :(

People usually point out the fact that I'm pretty quiet, but that's just because I'm very chillaxed. Once the ice breaks, you can't shut me up :)

As far as physical attributes are concerned, I've heard several things. Most often it's either how thin I am (it happens) or my eyes (which I find boring and overrated, but that's just my opinion).

I admit, I'm a Harry Potter dork. I also enjoy reading mystery books, but the majority of my reading comes from educational books. It's a wide variety from art and architecture to philosophy and religion. I don't watch too many movies these days. Either I don't have the time, or I'd rather spend my time doing other things. My favorite music is and always will be rock n' roll. Some of my favorites include AC/DC, Aerosmith, Guns N' Roses, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Joe Satriani, Blue Oyster Cult, Iron Maiden, Metallica, and a list of others. My taste in food changes, but currently it's sushi. Swedish Fish candy is awesome!

Things I've done, things I have to do, things I want to do, and things I know I forgot about at some point. I think about pretty much anything that seems interesting to me as well. The mysteries of the world intrigue me, and I often find myself thinking about the most random subjects.

During school, either architecture projects, sleep, or the rare hangout with friends. Summer time or breaks from school, it varies greatly.

Massive OCD. Too much to fill you in on, so you'll have to find out some other time :)

You feel like talking. I'm not shallow. I'll talk to anyone and every body. If you send a message and I don't respond right away, I'm probably too busy to check up on this site, or your first message didn't captivate me. But I value persistence, so keep trying :D
