My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I think information here would be better served if we were to meet in person, but here is a simple starter:

I grew up in San Francisco, and my hometown has always been a major part of my life. So many things that are close to me, such as cold weather, the Giants, and my family (most important of all) are in that 7x7 plot of land.

I studied History at UC Santa Cruz and SF State. While the former was a lot of fun, the latter was a challenge, but I came through better on the other side. I love learning about History, reading it, and visiting museums and art galleries when I can. It is a constant thing in my life that I will never get sick of.

I was lucky enough to get to teach History at a small school here in Sunnyvale and I worked my way up to heading my Department. While it comes with struggles and a lot of work and stress, I do love my job and want to be better at it.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
As said above, working at a small University in the South Bay. While many responsibilities lie in the administrative part, I believe my main talents lie in being a teacher. I leave work happy a lot, and believe I have helped students to achieve their goals.

I do work a good amount, but I also believe in down time and taking care of myself. When not at work, reading, running, biking, exploring these fairly new surroundings, and hanging out with friends are some favorite past times.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Random trivia, remembering movie quotes, I can make some bomb BBQ chicken and a mean plate of spaghetti. Does punctuality count? For what it's worth, I am really good at being on time. When meetings are scheduled, I am usually the first person there.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have gotten the eyes a few times, but to be honest, I have no idea. Let me know what you think.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books- Mostly history, since its my job and passion, but I have gotten more into the classics. Anything by or about Winston Churchill is up on my list, but am really trying to expand my horizons with reading. Browsing used bookstores is an all time favorite past time. Any suggestions?

Movies- My all-time favorite movie is The Dead Poet's Society. I like gangster movies- The Godfather I and II, Goodfellas, Casino-, comedies- Swingers, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, The 40-Year-Old Virgin,- and movies for sheer entertainment. I can watch anything, as long as I didn't hate it the first time I saw it.

TV- Currently into the Big Bang Theory, but don't watch too much TV.

Music- From Iron Maiden to Kanye West, Django Reinhardt to Marvin Gaye, Bob Marley to Mumford and Sons, its all good to me.

Food- Big on Mexican but am willing to try anything at least once. When it comes to food, I am open-minded.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My Family
My Friends
My (ever-growing) Library
Cal Football and Giants Baseball
Water (drinking, bathing, washing clothes- covers a lot of ground)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Any trips in the immediate future
Which books I want to read and what I can get out of them.
My lectures and what information to put in classes
Where I want to run in the morning
Will the Bears ever make it to the Rose Bowl
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I am either hanging out with some friends, possibly at San Pedro Square, or just taking it easy at home after a long day of work.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am the biggest Cal Football fan despite the fact I never went to UC Berkeley.

And if I ever watch reality TV, I make it a point to exercise to add lost time back to my life.

And I am on this site.
