A rover, wander, nomad, vagabond call me what you will. I love to travel, I love to travel so much I am not really interested in a normal life and normal job that would tie me down to one place.. I call Seattle my home as it is central for my visiting family, but I would rather be on the road exploring the world than behind a picket fence, raising a family. I work half the year at a seasonal job, saving money and travel the other half of the year. It is definitely not a lifestyle for everybody, but I love it.
An outdoors man. I love to hike, camp, backpack, chill at the beach, enjoy the scenery, gaze at the stars and explore the natural world(cities are humans natural habitat). I like the journey over the destination. I am not out in nature to conquer it, but to enjoy it. A journey is every step along the way, where the destination is only the final stop. I like to hike all sorts of different paces, slowly to enjoy the view, to notice every little thing around, and sometimes when you go down a hill you, the hill just begs you to run.
A nerd. I like video games(Console), computer games(strategy), role playing games(DnD), collectable card games(Magic the Gathering), light programming(writing game mods or manipulating spreadsheets to provide me with interesting data) and complex board games(Talisman, Risk, etc.). I spend a good deal of my leisure time involved in these activities because I can't always be on the road or out hiking.
Happy. I enjoy life, I find the best in most situations and I love the good and the bad that life throws at me. I can be pissed off at my manager one minute and then start laughing at how awesome it is that he is so good at pissing me off, and that makes me happy again. As the yin and yang, the bad must happen to make the good good.
