My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am Italian and Greek, 5'6" 115 lbs. I am an avid reader, a movie buff, and a lover of all kinds of music. I like going to museums and walking in Central Park.

Some random things I like are local music, stand-up comedy, graphic novels, comic books, Greek mythology, Texas Hold'em, and the original Nintendo.

I am polyamorous, queer friendly and kink friendly. I've been bi since I was a teenager, and have been comfortable with that label, so I never saw the point of adding queer to my identity when that term became popular. If you call yourself queer, I'm fine with whatever you mean by that. I've been with trans, men, and women. I like everybody.

I was a fan of Ayn Rand when I was in my 20s, then I joined Occupy Wall Street. Now I am a feminist who sometimes tries to do comedy, or a comedian who sometimes tries to be a feminist. Or something. That Whitman line about multitudes may apply, though I am not large.

Song of the moment/week/year:

Everyday it's a-gettin closer
Going faster than a roller coaster
Love like yours will surely come my way a-hey, a-hey hey

Everyday it's a-gettin faster
Everyone said go ahead and ask her
Love like yours will surely come my way a-hey, a-hey hey

Everyday seems a little longer
Every way love's a little stronger
Come what may, do you ever long for
True love from me?
-Buddy Holly

I am insightful, quiet, and random.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I have a Masters in Library Science and worked full time in an archive for 4 years, but I am now unemployed.

I joined Occupy Wall Street about a month into it, October 2011. I was involved only peripherally due to laziness and the unwillingness to get arrested. I no longer really go to much in the way of protests outside the occasional benefit show. If you are more involved or less involved, that's cool. Just don't bash it if you know nothing about it.

I am currently trying to be a stand-up comedian. I am also a poet and have performed poetry in front of an audience. I haven't been booked on any shows yet but I used to go to a couple of open mics a week. Health and money issues have me going out less now.

I always try to do that which will make me as happy as possible for as long as possible. Of course, sometimes thinking about this too much can interfere with the enjoyment of a given moment. There is a time for thinking and planning, and a time for saying the f--k with it and just letting yourself go.
I’m really good at

What to say in an initial email to someone on OKCupid.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
chilling at home or going out if I have something specific planned, like a friend or relative is having a party or I want to see a movie or a show.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I hate the idea of dying. Death doesn't really upset me, but the idea of not existing anymore kind of annoys the hell out of me. Although they are irrational, I can understand why people cling to the idea of an afterlife. This is why I will never understand why otherwise healthy people commit suicide.

Perhaps paradoxically, the authors/artists/musicians/etc I am most attracted to often seem to be self-destructive.

You want to join me at the queer clothing optional section of Riis Beach in the Rockaways.

You like what you've seen so far or I have messaged you.

Most of my relationships have been open or polyamorous, if not in fact then in theory. However, my primary partner of three years recently broke up with me, and I am currently not seeing anyone. Right now I just want to meet new people and date again, and don't want to automatically cut myself off from anyone. In short, if we have similar interests, I'd like to meet you whether you are monogamous or polyamorous.
