My Self-Summary
I'm a graduate student at the UW-Madison, studying microbiology. I
love to travel,
play sports,
hang out and have
a good time. I tend to focus a lot on my work, but I know how to
cut loose and relax too. I can get along with damn near everyone!
I'm also a big movie
buff, and I often quote, um, quotes.
What I’m doing with my life
Like I said, I'm a graduate student, and I will be finishing in the
spring. But, in the meantime, when not working, I spend time with
my friends and play softball and flag football. I enjoy doing
different things; you name it, I'll give it a shot!
I’m really good at
Procrastinating!!! And I'd say I'm pretty awesome at movie trivia -
random facts just pour out when I'm on a roll! I'm decent at the
sports I play, and I used to be good at video games (but I've been
extremely out of practice).
The first things people usually notice about me
I've had people tell me that I have an honest face...don't know how
that is, but hey, I run with it. It must be kinda true, because
I've had several random people ask me to walk them home. It might
be that I can also look a little bit intimidating, should I feel
the need.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Favorite books: Way of the Peaceful Warrior, anything by Kurt
Vonnegut, and Uncle John's Bathroom Reader books!
The six things I could never do without
Laughter, my family (that includes all my friends too, because
they're the family you choose!), my cat Babs, traveling (I love
roadtrips), science, sports, and whiskey. I lead a pretty simple
life. And yes, I know that's 7.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
graduating, research, and becoming the person I'm supposed to
become. I know, its a bit cliched, but sometimes cliches are the
most accurate descriptions. I also think about where I'm gonna end
up when I finish my degree!
