My self-summary
I'm a musician. I'm kind of a nerd. I'm a rock n roll guy, but it doesn't always show. I'm a night-owl, and a somewhat early riser. I like a good nap now and then.

I jog, I cook, I can start a fire, I'm a musician, poet, writer, and a romantic. I volunteer with animals and have a job where I have a great balance of being happy and paying my way. Things are good and getting better.
What I’m doing with my life
I worked in the Musical Instruments industry for years, then as the market shrunk I moved to international purchasing. Now I work as a writer, and I'm much happier writing and pursuing creative projects. I'm working towards bigger and better things and it feels good.

I love animals, and I volunteer at Best Friends to spend time with dogs. One day I will have dogs again, but right now it's just enough to torment my cat with the smell of dogs. Just recently I fell in love with another dog. Someone better hurry and adopt him or I may have to get a place with a yard.
*update, he got adopted, I'm safe for the moment!*
**second update, there's another one!**

I recently released a single on iTunes, along with a video, and have released three independent CDs. I'm working on three musical theater projects. Also I'm playing in a cover band and still recording music.
I’m really good at
Music. I write and play songs, I release them on iTunes, people download them. It's awesome! I then do it all again, because that's what I do.

Trivia! I write trivia quizzes and host pub trivia. I used to play trivia and would like to play more, just not at a quiz I wrote, that wouldn't be fair, right?

I don't always have a beard but I don't need one, I have a toolbox and I can fix things. I'll carry your spiders out to the patio.

I learned how to cook in an Italian restaurant. I make killer alfredo, marinara, and I know how to cook a steak. I like to make sushi but it's a lot of work so I don't do it very often. I also like mac n cheese, especially if you can turn it into a sandwich. So, do you like shrimp?
The first things people usually notice about me
I smell good if you get close enough.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I read mostly fantasy and sci-fi, with occasional non-fiction scattered in. Lately most of my reading is online in the form of research for trivia.

Escape from New York, The Commitments, and 500 Days of Summer are among my top ten. I dig sci-fi. I loved Independence Day. If you don't that's fine, I didn't like Twilight. If you do.. well.. uh...

I like TV, and I always hold out hope for new shows. Shows I like tend to get cancelled. Firefly, Deadwood, Life, SG:U, as well as Game of Thrones, HIMYM, ST:TNG, , WH13... it's acronym time!!!

Powerpop, progressive rock, old school soul/R&B, Americana/Roots rock, old school metal... I really like any good songs. I love music and if someone writes a song, or performs a song, that makes me feel something, I find value in it. I love that shiver-up-your-spine feeling when I hear good music. If you like Kevin Gilbert, Marillion, Jellyfish, DADA, Butch Walker, or John Hiatt you should probably send me a message, we'll get along!

Food is awesome! Even food I don't really get excited about, I love! I like sushi a lot, it feels a little subversive to eat raw fish. Traveling to China was my first experience in "I'm not eating that," although I did eat some fairly strange stuff there. I also point to Nobu Hong Kong as my finest dining experience ever. EVER!
The six things I could never do without
Music, my guitar, football, food (not like "I need food to survive", but like OMG Sushi!), pets, and sadly, a car and cell phone.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Lyrics and dialogue. And whether I REALLY need an egg to make pancake batter.

As for OKC, I wonder why so many of the girls on here I think are attractive are into polyamory? What am I missing? (Aside from some other guy hanging around at home after our date.)
On a typical Friday night I am
Gathering troops for a bowling showdown or an 8 ball tournament.

I've also been away from live music for the last couple of years, and I want to see moar. Who's good these days?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I sometimes use a hair flatiron on my shirt collars.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 30–50
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You want to cook some cool food, or shoot some pool, or show off a new tattoo, (or come with me for my next one), or, if you can finish this joke: A Priest, a Rabbi, and a horse walk into a bar. The bartender says... "_______________"
