My Self-Summary
I suppose that the really defining aspect of my personality is that
I like to see people smile. Whether I am trying to make jokes,
dancing, performing, or cooking something awesome, my main goal is
so often just to squeeze a pleasant reaction out of someone.
I enjoy reading, watching movies, listening to music, going to the theater, and other such entertainments. When I go out, I prefer smaller bars or small get-togethers with friends over really noisy clubs and massive parties. I do enjoy rock clubs when decent bands are playing, though a show with no good bands can be the worst of times. I can cook you a good meal, and an even better dessert and I want to make you laugh. I play bass guitar in my brother's rock band and have been known to play dodge/kick/volleyball.
I am looking for someone who is smart, with a good sense of humor and who can forgive me the areas of my life that require improvement. Give me a shot, because I aim to please.

What I’m doing with my life
I was an attorney, and I suppose I still am, though I no longer
practice. After about 3 years of practicing law, I realized that I
was hating every day more than the last and spent most of my life
angry at the people I dealt with on a day to day basis.
Now I work at a publishing company and hope to one day use my writing skills for something practical, like editing one of our newsletters, as a copywriter, or perhaps even as a writer of fiction.
Lord knows though, that could all change anytime now...

I enjoy books by Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, Christopher Moore,
Kurt Vonnegut, and Douglas Adams. I am a voracious reader and am
known to tear through a book a day when I don't have much going
on.
My favorite directors are the Coen Brothers (Miller's Crossing), PT Anderson (Punch Drunk Love), Wes Anderson (Royal Tenenbaums), and Sergio Leone (For a Few Dollars More).
Some of the bands I like include The Kinks, The Who, The Beatles, Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, Tom Waits, They Might Be Giants, Alice Cooper, Ryan Adams, Ben Folds Five, B-52s, Jurassic 5, The Streets, Beastie Boys, Mos Def, Iron Maiden, Motley Crue, Belle and Sebastian, The Drive By Truckers, White Stripes, and The Reigning Sound.
As for food, I love to try everything. I especially love Italian food, but I am always open to trying new experiences.
