Misplaced hobbit loves the outdoors, is fanatical about books and bookstores, devoted to her dogs and cats, passionate about Notre Dame football, thinks Led Zeppelin is the greatest rock band that ever existed, and is often found with fingernails painted five different colors. Secretly worried that the nails are a sign of some sort of psychosis, but does it anyway because pretty colors make her happy...also there's no point in passing 50 if it doesn't give you the guts to do your own thing.

I like to hear people's stories. I like to play with ideas. I like to think about things that are bigger than my mind. I like to help other people discern their best form of spirituality, and to work on my own faith and philosophy of life. The helping other people part is assuming the other person wants my help and asks for it, of course. I'm not here to change you if you've already got it figured out.

I like anything that happens outside. I like to watch sports, but not participate. I like to walk my dogs or work in the yard for exercise. I can ride a bike, but don't currently own one, and I enjoy being in the water and dog paddling around, but I'm not actually a swimmer. I suppose I would like long walks on the beach, but truthfully...I've never actually taken one. I'm in favor of the idea if the opportunity arises, however. In the winter time, sledding and learning to cross country ski would be fun activites for me. And I actually like to shovel, so long as there is enough time to not have to rush through it.

I lke to take the dogs out under the stars and star watch. Speical friends are Orion and Cygnus and the Pleiades.

I am a life long learner. I'm curious about practically everything and will read avidly or attend lectures on any subject that catches my attention.

UGH! 50 is a transitional state. Hoping to get back into some form of education or social service job soon. Clerical/retail for the moment.

Laura Ingalls Wilder, Mercedes Lackey, any nonfiction about space, cosmology or quantum physics,or the Kuiper Belt; the early Church, most history of any kind, spirituality, mysteries...Dr Who, Star Trek, Led Zeppelin, Genesis, the Beatles, Nine Inch Nails, Tilly and the Wall, 48 Hours Mystery, medieival music, Brandenburg concetros, Green Day, Garbage, The Cars, Alan Parsons Project, Electric Light Orchestra, Babylon 5, NCIS, Deep Space Nine, The Partridge Family, The Waltons, almost any movie with Tom Hanks in it.

hmm...what the next stage of my life wil look like, whatever I'm reading, God/spirituality, and I just like playing with ideas in general. Also, the more I use this site, the more I find myself wondering, "Exactly How Many Of These Personality Questions Are There?" One person whose profile I looked at has over 1500. I have to admit, though, that they do tell me as much or more about the person as the profile, so overall, I appreciate them.

Working..I work 2 jobs. Otherwise, movies, reading, hanging out at bookstores, working in the yard..depends on the season.
