I am easy going, a bit geeky, and possibly a pirate.

My Self-Summary

Hey, I'm Ross. I like to think that I am a pirate and would love to tell you I spend my time robbing from ships in the oceans but I dont. Instead I live in the urban sea that is London, though I am learning to become a black cabbie (it's not as bad a job as you think) so I suppose I can take money from people that way.

I enjoy a range of stuff, from the internet, camping and attractive architecture, to cars, shooting, mowing the lawn and watching wildlife from time to time. I'm probably the only person in the world that enjoys peeling potatoes.

Alcohol is good too. Ale especially.

What I’m doing with my life

Black cabbie training on weekdays and work for an Estate Agent on weekends.

Aside from that, drinking tea, sleeping, not tidying up and wishing I was Clint Eastwood. Or Brian Blessed.

I’m really good at

Crane machines with cuddly toys in them
Pouring pints
Driving, I think.
Cutting myself shaving

The first things people usually notice about me

They don't. I'm a ninja.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books -
Bernard Cornwell stuff, mainly the Sharpe novels. Most of the discworld stuff is pretty awesome. Anything by Ray Mears. Other odds and ends, such as A Brief History of Time, World War Two stuff, books with pictures of big aircraft. I also avoid newspapers unless I'm on the train or something. Short bursts of recipe books for cooking ideas also.

Movies -
GoodFellas, LOTR, Indiana Jones, anything by Sergio Leone, Dirty Harry, Downfall, Pulp Fiction, Terminator 2, The matrix (only the first one), first 3 Star Wars, Gladiator, The Godfather, Schindler's list, The Day of The Jackal. Lots of war films, Kellys Heroes, A Bridge Too Far etc. I love zombie films too. The first 3 Romero films, Evil Dead, Planet terror. Anything with zombies in it basically. Indiana Jones 4 was rubbish.

Music -
The Eagles, Disturbed, Dr Dre, Eminem, The Who, Elton John, Eric Clapton, Fatboy Slim, Linkin Park, Marvin Gaye, OMD, Prodigy, Santana, Status Quo, Beach Boys, ZZ Top, Dire Straits, T-Rex, Alestorm. I like the occasional bit of classical stuff too. Essentially I'll listen to most music.

Food-
I do love food. The best meals are the one you cook yourselves though. I like Chinese, Indian, Thai, pasta, bleu steak, roast dinners, especially beef. Don't mind a bit of sushi every now and then. KFC is my guilty pleasure. Fruit and nut chocolate is brilliant.

Other stuff -
For TV, I enjoy Sharpe (actually anything with Sean Bean in it), anything by Ray Mears (he is a legend), Air Crash Investigation, a bit of Star Trek, South Park, Futurama, Family Guy, QI, The Simpsons, a few cooking shows like the F Word and great British Menu, Blackadder, Fawlty Towers, Top Gear and the odd documentary. I like to think I watch good quality telly, but I do occasionally get caught up watching escape to the country or bargain hunt.

I quite like anime too, some of my favourites being Gungrave, Berserk, Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Full Metal Panic, Full Metal Alchemist and Hellsing.

The six things I could never do without

A watch, sleep, a car, a pint of ale, friends & family, my hands.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Where I want to travel when I have the money
What to do in the event of a zombie apocalypse
Celebrities I would like to punch
Space

On a typical Friday night I am

Drinking, usually at a pub or maybe at a friends house. Might be out bowling also.
If I'm in, I'm probably still drinking at some point and watching a film/TV shows/cooking dinner. I'm sure Guitar Hero would be in there somewhere too.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I'm not gay, but I would be for Sean Bean.
