I am curious, lonesome, and happy-go-lucky.

My Self-Summary

I am more than the sum of my answers - that much is sure.

I have many friends, but I still have room for more. I do not go to bars every weekend to get drunk and all that usual stuff. I mostly hang around with my friends and, sadly, I don't meet a lot of new people.

I am interested in gaming (yes, even roleplaying games), fantasy/scifiliterature. Also, I'm into music (a lot) lately.

What I’m doing with my life

I got a stable job, so now I'm sort of trying to find things to do on my free time. I'd like to work to live and not live for work, although my current job requires some business travel - I just spent the last year traveling around in South-America.

I just love all sorts of games, books and movies, but I don't have nearly enough time to do all the things I'd like. I also love to travel around Europe.

Just to update further, I returned to Finland for now - I was in Brazil on a 2 year work assignment.
I am just hoping I could stay a bit longer this time.

I’m really good at

Odd things, like random games and trivia. Cooking also comes to mind, I like to cook - Italian style food especially.

I am also good at spending time alone (I am nearly never really bored). Not that I prefer to be alone though. I also am very good at amusing myself at work if there is nothing to do.

I am also good at infecting people with my music taste, which I in turn have gotten from very good friends of mine with the largest cd-collections I have seen ever (outside a record store that is).

The first things people usually notice about me

I am not the first person to get angry/anxious about almost anything. I am kind of stable in that sense. I tend to stay cool under pressure.

Physically I really cannot say anything about what would be the first thing to notice, except I am quite big (wide shoulders and about 185 cm tall).

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I am so lazy to update and a fast reader, so I just put here some typical books that are in the genre/style I like:
The Autograph man (Zadie Smith, fiction), Cyteen (CJ Cherryh, scifi), The Game of thones series (George RR Martin, fantasy), Any Michael Connelly book (detective stories)

Movies:
I see so many movies yearly, that I really don't want to say any specific movie. Lets see: Amelie, Fight Club, The usual suspects, LoTR (Not "that" great, but definitely good.), Braveheart, Pulp fiction, High fidelity, School of rock (hell, anything with Jack Black in it) uhmm... there are a lot of good movies that I saw that I just cannot recall now.

Music: I have a bit of a mixed taste in music. Some favourites:
Singer-songwriter stuff: Tori Amos, PJ Harvey, Suzanne Vega;
Goth rock: Sisters of Mercy, Siouxie and the Banshees, the Cure
Metal: Black sabbath, the Gathering (old stuff)
Punk: Rage against the machine, the Clash
Rock: Led Zeppelin; The Highwayman
Electronica/trip hop: Lamb, Massive attack, Moloko
And lots and lots of other stuff...

Food:
Caesar salad, Pasta, a good steak or Brazilian style churrasco (= barbecue)

The six things I could never do without

Great food, good wine and beer, friends, fun and games, books and movies, women. Yeah, I like to enjoy life... Computers are great, but I guess that I could eventually give 'em up.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

No worries about getting a job or graduating anymore, so now it is time to make some long term plans.

I bought a small apartment, which I am now desperately trying to pay for by working on a foreign assignment. This is not something I worry about, but it definitely gives motivation to work.

UPDATE: Now I got back and I have a chance to actually live in my own apartment.

So I actually spend a lot of time thinking about how I could really settle down somewhere and earn a comfortable living without traveling all the time, as it seems that my traveling days will exceed time spent at home for some years now.

On a typical Friday night I am

Spending the night with my friends gaming, drinking and/or watching movies.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I actually have problems with connecting the names of months to their numbers - I have to go through the whole list of them by rote memory to find the right one. I can only really remember the list, not the parts of the list you know... I have a lazy streak in learning such things unless they are somehow interesting. At the same time I can remember the oddest things about some weird movie or book. I wonder if there is a (latin)name for this kind of odd memory problem.

You should message me if

If you feel like it (the standard response to this)

No, really if you have something to say to me. Do not send just woos or messages with a few words. And definitely do not just ask me to complete a test you made or continue a chain letter. I am here to actually talk to people, not wade through spam.

Also, I have to remark that my personality awards make me look like a robot, which I am not. I wonder how the system manages to make many people to look like either freaks or emotionless machines.
