I am usually happy, generally laid back, and occasionally odd..

My Self-Summary

I would much rather watch Charlie Rose than Family Guy. But, I also love to let my brain veg out, too and hate people who are crazy about being politically correct and want every conversation to be about something significant. I like to cook. I'm extremely liberal. I like to be cozy often, and don't like girls who expect me to read their minds. I won't play games. I can be a living oxymoron (e.g. a shy extrovert). I am definitely a generalist and like to learn a little something about lots of different subjects.

What I’m doing with my life

I work full time in a job that pays less than I deserve because it doesn't require I make morally questionable choices. I have big ideas and give better advice to others than I give to myself. I'm earning my second masters and not studying for my certification exam as much as I should.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I love Poi Dog Pondering, and dancing to live music. I have tons of books which I rarely read all the way through because something else always peaks my interest before I'm done. I never watch horror movies because of the gore but like Quentin Tarrentino and action/war movies - weird. Movies about people reaching into the best parts of themselves make me cry.

The six things I could never do without

Time to just be. Chocolate. Music that I like occasionally played loud enough to really fill the room (or house). Feeling secure. Trees. Birdsongs and other sounds of nature.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

What my life will be like in three or five or ten years.

On a typical Friday night I am

Making something good for dinner, which usually means it is after eight or even nine before I'm/we're eating. By the time it's done and cleaned up I would rather just stay in my comfortable clothes and hang out. I'm not a drinker so unless its dinner out and live music or something more event like than clubbing to a DJ and cocktails I'm just not that interested. I hate to admit it but I am definitely mellowing with age.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I'm slightly imperfect in almost every way. I have perennially been coming in second in everything I do. Competing against 100 or 2 for rankings or winner takes all, it makes no difference - I'm almost always second.
