My self-summary
I'm kind, patient, easy-going, and relentlessly positive. I'm well-educated, but still insatiably curious about most things, and am never afraid to challenge a viewpoint, or reevaluate my own. I will scream my voice off at just about any sporting event, even (perhaps especially) a field trip to a minor league baseball game, just because it's more fun to be enthusiastic about things. I like drinks on patios with friends, and friends of friends. I like drinks not on patios with friends, and friends of friends. I like board games, museums, pub trivia, and other forms of social nerdery. The last time I was bored was when I was about 7, and I didn't much care for it. I have a general idea of who I'm looking for, and know that as long as the major things line up, all the little stuff will work itself out. I know no other way than to be optimistic, even about a website that just asked me, with a straight face, if I "believe" in dinosaurs...
What I’m doing with my life
I teach a pretty amazing (yet challenging) group of 3rd graders all about the infinitely fascinating worlds of math and science.
I’m really good at
Viewing problems as challenges. Learning. Teaching. Dadding. Walking on my hands. Not giving two picoseconds of thought to things that truly don't matter. Looking up things like picoseconds, to make sure I'm using them correctly (And yup, I did. A picosecond is to one second as one second is to 31,700 years). Listening. Questioning. Scrabble. Being modest.
The first things people usually notice about me
How far away I am from them, to the nearest foot.

The six things I could never do without
1. The profound uniqueness of my daughter
2. The truly unconditional love of my family
3. The feeling that, even as great as things are, I have the power to make them better
4. The 2011 NBA Finals
5. Maxence Cyrin's solo piano cover of "Where Is My Mind" (I give you full permission to navigate away from my enthralling profile right this very instant to listen to it. I'll wait...)
6. The knowledge that *you* are out there, somewhere
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Sensitivity to initial conditions.

Why are there so many criminals on this site? And why are they all looking for partners? Are there people out there who *don't* love to laugh? Who love drama? Who hate travel? Who enjoy lying and game-playing? And, if so, would they really admit that on an online dating profile?

Will there ever be a boy born who can swim faster than a shark?
On a typical Friday night I am
Happily lost in a pretend world.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I was in all Honors and AP classes in high school. And I was a two-time state champion in wrestling. As you may have guessed, the nerd part of me has since defeated the jock part of me.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 25–35
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You believe in dinosaurs.
