I live in London and have lived here most of my life and though I
love some aspects of London am not particularly attached to it.
Often fantasise about liviing in some other place or some other
country. I am a teacher, of both children and adults. I love
children of all ages and my personal and professional life has been
devoted to them in one way or another and still is, though much
less on a personal level as my chldren are adults and living their
own lives now. I think I am a fairly happy and optimistic person
and enjoy planning holidays and celebrating festivals such as
Christmas and other religions such as Diwali as, I have done most
of my life due to many Indian freinds and a strong affinity to
Indian and Italian cultures. I have a strong desire to travel and
see many countries and look forward to times in my life where that
will be possible. I haven't travelled to many different countires
in my life but have had family or friends connected to either
Italy, Scicily, or India so have mainly gone to those places on
holiday over the years. I would love to visit many countries in
south america and many other parts of the world. These days I often
end up going on a working holiday as I don't want to travel alone.
It would be nice to meet someone who shares some of my intersts and
someone who has some creative streak be it art or music or writing,
but if not an understanding of why it is important to me.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm working hard ..wishing it wasn't quite so hard, work hard on
staying optimisitic about everything, trying to finish writing
projects, constantly re-organising my home and paperwork to make
life easier. Looking forward to the future with mr. right and
hoping he does exist and that we find each other..
I’m really good at
Listening, caring for others, looking after children, remembering
details, some food dishes, giving ideas to others for writing
projects, ideas for writing poetry..(themes, stimulus for writing-
I'm a poetry teacher); talking, and going off on tangents, but
coming back to the point..
The first things people usually notice about me
People often ask me where I am from.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Bread and Wine by Ignazio Silone, Sons and Lovers by D. H.
Lawerence, countless romantic and historical novels, endless poets-
Pablo Neruda, Mimi Khalvati, Sylvia Plath, Sujata Bhatt, and many
more..musicals of all kinds, theatre, vegetarina food, salads and
puddings especially, soul, tamal motown, blues, reggae, classical,
bollywood and classical Indian music, Italian opera.
The six things I could never do without
Love, my family, my friends, the ability to feel creative..writing
poetry, optimism, chocolate.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
if I will ever meet that special man and settle down...and live
happily ever after..also when I will get time to finish endless
creative projects I have started (mainly writing ones) and if I can
give myself deadlines and improve on the computer substanitally to
send things to publishers with ease..whether I will end up living
in this country or abroad..
On a typical Friday night I am
there is no typical friday night for me..sometimes I am home alone
reading or writing .. sometimes going out to see freinds or having
friends over...quite often recently visiting my ill parents however
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I eat too much chocolate, love Walt Disney cartoons, and love
playing with dolls houses. oh, thats three secrets out...but I play
with children a lot of my day as a profession so...that's my
excuse..well, the chocloate is a life long addiction..working on
it..well eating my way through it..
You should message me if
you are looking for a serious long term relationship, are
definitely single and loyal and honest, and have a photo. Also if
you are not cynical about religions and have an open mind to many
aspects of life (or even afterlife) not being easily explained by
