My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm frequently prone to strange trains of thought, usually ideas for inventions.

I'm quite an avid gamer, particularly fond of pen&paper RPGs (recently leaning more toward the Burning Wheel than D&D, European-style board games (e.g. Settlers of Catan, Puerto Rico, Tigris & Euphrates), and card games (Fluxx, Illuminati, Dominion, for example)

Also, Five tons of flax.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I used to be a programmer like you, then I took a job at HP.

I'm training in Ed Parker's American Kenpo, and recently attained the rank of Black Belt.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.

I look like a maniac. A goddamned maniac! I think it's the beard. and the eyes.

These days, it's more the beard.

Neal Stephenson - The Diamond Age,
Douglas Adams - The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (and attendant trilogy),
Brian Greene - The Elegant Universe
I'd really like to get my hands on and read/work through Knuth's The Art of Computer Programming. I'm actually annoyed that I haven't in my... many years of CS study.
Accelerando by Charles Stross.
Scott Lynch - The Lies of Locke Lamora.

Transformers: The Movie,
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy,
Princess Mononoke (or Mononoke Hime for the purists),
Gilbert & Sullivan's The Mikado as presented by the Stratford Festival.
Recently, Inception.

The Mechanical Universe (And Beyond) - I grew up watching this on PBS.
Pretty much any Transformers show, though the best have been Beast Wars and Animated. We'll see how Prime goes, but it's shaping up pretty well.
Avatar: the Last Airbender - The show is a masterpiece. The movie was a pale mockery.
Batman: The Brave and the Bold
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.

I've been listening a lot to the Homestuck soundtrack albums, after picking up the lot after the 4/13 update.

Schandmaul, Juno Reactor, The Prodigy, Aphex Twin, The Real McKenzies, Trent Reznor's instrumental work.

Soundtracks from Xenogears, Chrono Trigger, Tales of Phantasia

Beethoven (especially the 9th Symphony, as directed by John Gardiner) //Yes, I'm enough of a nerd to have a favorite recording.

Jazz bagpipes, acoustic zydeco speed metal, and Latvian nostril chant.

Pretty much anything skillfully performed/composed, where the lyrics don't dominate.

Indian (especially Lassis), Sushi, Haggis, Chicago-style deep-dish pizza (See Edwardo's for examplemastery of the form)

Testing out the profile box to find the allowed HTML tags. Wait, that's thursday.

I no longer live in the utter boonies, so I'm a little less isolated than I was, but I could definitely stand to have a few more local connections; people to play games with would be good.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I eat lunchmeat directly from the package. (which tends to disrupt lunchmeat/bread parity. much like with hot dogs and buns.) -- This private object is now deprecated; owner's desire for lunchmeat has diminished considerably since initialization.

I've also completely forgotten everything I learned in Russian. I suppose that's a given, what with the lack of practice, and the fact that I'd started when I was 23.

I'm horrible at DDR-type games. (I still dance well, though. (at least, last time I checked.))

I'm down with entropy.
