My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi. I am a single dad for 7 years now. I have 3 daughters and 6 grandkids. My youngest daughter is in college and lives with me. I have a great job as a computer programmer and I enjoy what I do.

For fun I like museums, comedy clubs, going to the mountains or the beach. Long bike trips and camping are great.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've just recently reinvented myself. Worked in education for the last 20 years, but decided to make a change and went back to school. Now I am a computer programmer.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Fixing things. Working on projects around the house. Fixing cars, fixing computers, fixing appliances. Yep - I'm pretty good at fixing things.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I shave my head, so probably that. People tell me that I look younger than my age. I am not sure I agree, but I like it just the same.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Other than technical manuals and such, I haven't read a book in a LONG time. But I do read the news on MSNBC and Yahoo almost every day. I especially enjoy the science and technology sections.

Music: Some old, some newer... Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins, Genesis, U2, Pink Floyd, Coldplay, Supertramp, Foreigner, Audioslave... the list gets long and no-one reads these lists anyway. Lets just say that I like all music except rap and country.

Movies/TV: I have lots of favorite movies. Too many to name. Recently went to see the movie "Fury" and loved it. I was a Tank gunner/commander in the Army and can attest that this movie is realistic. Loved the best TV drama series ever... Breaking Bad. Now I watch "The Walking Dead" and "Better Call Saul" every week. Big Bang Theory and Modern Family are my current daily favorites. I can't get enough of "Alaska: The Last Frontier".

Food: I had a bad experience with guacamole once so I stay away from that. I am not a big fan of seafood, but i like shrimp, lobster and tuna fish sandwiches (LOL). Love red meat well done, and chicken, turkey, but am especially susceptible to tryptophan. So I am lots of fun for my family at Thanksgiving. They have pictures...
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. My job - gotta pay the bills and be able to afford the other five things.
2. My Daughters
3. My Car
4. My Harley
5. Coffee. The darker the better. Black, no sugar. If you asked me this question in the morning, coffee would be first on this list.
6. Sleep
7. My technology... computer, smart phone, internet.
8. More coffee
Yes, I know that was 8 things. I guess that makes me needy.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Hmmm, should I get a tattoo? I am a blank canvas.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
It depends. I sometimes take the shopping list my daughter made for me and go shopping because she needs it right now! Or if that can wait until Saturday, I am at home studying, or unwinding... On the computer or watching TV and thinking about all the fun things I could be doing instead. I know... boring, right?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Uhmmmm... Nah!

If you think we would enjoy each other. If, like me, you are loyal to a fault, love the outdoors, and think that camping in a tent off the back of a motorcycle sounds awesome.
