My self-summary
I'm so hip I have trouble seeing over my pelvis.

I try not to take many things too seriously. I mean, I know when something is important and should be treated as such, but I just don't like being serious all the time.

I've only lived in the St. Louis area for a few years. I enjoy science, and have a degree in zoology, which resulted in me working as a laboratory technician at an ethanol plant. So, instead of biology I do mostly chemistry.

I often say dumb things that I find funny, but others may not.

I can also recite Lewis Carroll's poem The Jabberwocky from memory.

I love really lame jokes. Example: Why did the cow get an award? For being outstanding in his field.
What I’m doing with my life
Breathing, metabolizing.

I currently work at an ethanol plant. Just like everyone, apparently, I would like to go back to school sometime in the near future.

I spend most of my non work related time out with people I met on the internet, because I am that awesome. We go to a bar for trivia every Thursday, which is probably the highlight of each week for me.
I’m really good at
Rambling. I'm a champ at that. I also say stupid things really well. So, there's that

I am also capable of keeping my cat interested in conversations for a relatively long time. He must really think I'm interesting.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
My favorite book will probably always be The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, though The Ancestor's Tale would be a close second. I almost exclusively read nonfiction, though every now and then I try to read some fiction (generally unsuccessfully). I currently have a large section of my bookshelf filles with books that I need to read, but I just seem to keep buying more.

I'm not sure what my favorite movie would be, though just through a look at my movie shelf, I'd have to say either Labyrinth, Thank You For Smoking, The Princess Bride, or The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. Oh, and The Brothers Solomon.

I generally like most music, though I'd have to say Cake is probably at the top of my list.

I don't watch a lot of tv, though I always watch The Daily Show and Colbert Report within a few days of them airing. I also love Dr. Who, and if anyone thinks that Smith is a better doctor than Tennant, I will fight them.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Nerdy things. Superheroes, video games, and all those other nerdy things that women just find so irresistible.

My mind is constantly wandering, so sometimes I'll go from thinking about what I want to be doing with my life, to birds, to superheroes, with no discernible path between them.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hopefully out with friends, but if I have to work on Saturday I will sometimes be responsible and stay home.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don't know. I don't try to keep to many things about me secret.

I suppose I have a bit of a fascination with gadgets/gizmos/trinkets. Anything that's somewhat small and has an interesting use is just the bee's knees, really. For example, in my desk I have a sundial ring, a pocket microscope, and sitting atop my desk right now is my kindle.

I love the smell of fresh pavement and gasoline.

I've never played Dance Dance Revolution, and know I would be terrible at it, but I secretly really want to try it.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 23–32
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating, activity partners
You should message me if
you're interested, I suppose. I mean, I'm not here to tell you what to do or anything. If you want to talk to a somewhat awesome nerd, I'm generally always up for talking or hanging out. Plus, I get bored at work a lot, so sending messages on my phone helps solve that.
