My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm an easygoing, fun loving, outgoing seeker of knowledge and new things. I'm into all things active and outdoors. I love most sports, be it participating or spectating and camping is a tradition with my family and I. I'm also very competitive and hate to lose, though I'm not a sore loser...I just decided to let you win this one;)

Living a healthy life style is very important to me. Exercise, good nutrition and having fun are what keep me young and sane...or as sane as I can be:) Balance and communication (interpersonal and social) are two other pieces to the puzzle I'm continually working to improve upon. I also love the word integrity and what it stands for.

Outside of my inner Tony Little (joking - that dude is crazy), I like to hang out with friends, cook, eat, check out plays or standup and hit up the farmers market. I'm also a big believer in practicing the art of stress relief by way of laughter. Sore abs and cheeks from a gut wrenching laugh attack can't be beat.

Music is also a passion of mine. I love how it can transport me back to a time in my life or how it can lift me up and allow me to escape to another realm altogether.

All-in-all, I'm a driven person but enjoying life and having fun is what I'm all about.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've been working for AT&T for the past 14 years...crazy I know, but they've been good to me. I transferred within the company to Chicago back in '01 from Los Angeles and quickly fell in love with this city. Working for AT&T is definitely not my passion but it affords me the opportunity to take part in the other things I love.

Exercise and nutrition are both something I'm passionate about. So I went to back to school to learn more about both subjects, moonlighted as a personal trainer for a while and am now shifting away from that and looking more into high school strength and conditioning/coaching and furthering my knowledge of nutrition as medicine in hopes of helping others in that way as well.

But to be completely honest, I work to live and not the other way around. Money is not a huge deal to me but free time to do the things I enjoy is. Basically, I'm constantly looking to become a better person in all aspects of my life and in doing so living the best and funnest life I can.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being fashionably late.
Listening - My friends are amazed at some of the things I remember from conversations.
Following directions, at least when I'm cooking, which I've gotten fairly good at.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books: Last Exit to Brooklyn, Another Bullshit Night in Suck City, The Four Agreements, Man's Search for Meaning, Crime and Punishment, In Cold Blood, Economics in One Lesson, Meltdown, The Paleo Solution - The Original Human Diet and many others I can't think of at the moment. I'm currently reading Incognito - The Secret Lives of the Brain, which is a fascinating piece on the subconscious and how its the one really running the show. Lately I've been geeking out on all things physiology.

Movies: I love movies, and I'll watch everything from the horrible C list movie on late night HBO to the most obscure indie flick. These are a few of my favorites that come to mind - V for Vendetta, Cool Hand Luke, Irreversible, Scarface, Good Fellas, Taxi Driver, Fight Club, Caddyshack, Dumb and Dumber, The Hangover, In the Flesh, Volver, Amores Perros, 21 Grams, Blue Valentine, Requiem For a Dream, Moonrise Kingdom...

Shows: I don't watch a whole lot of TV outside of sports, but the TV I do watch generally airs on Sunday nights. Sunday nights are made for winding down after a good weekend. A few of my favorites are: Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire, Six Feet Under, True Blood, Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Sopranos. I guess pretty much every HBO series, accept John From Cincinnati...not sure what that was all about.

Music: I pretty much love all music, but I mostly listen to old school & underground/indy hip-hop, house music and alternative. Here are a few of my favorites - Tool, Atmosphere, Blueprint, Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, TV On the Radio, J-Live, Pete Rock, Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, Doc Martin, Black Star, Gang Star, Aesop Rock, Pink Floyd, The Doors, Santogold, Jedi Mind Tricks, The Black Keys, The Kills, Living Legends, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, James Brown, Ottis Redding, Solomon Burke, Gnarls Barkley, The Stones and anything and everything else that moves me.

I love food; I love to eat, and I love to cook! Cooking is something I've really gotten into the past 4 or so years. I'm proud to say I've gotten pretty good at it but there's still so much to learn.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I don't really need much, but there are few things I couldn't live without - My awesome family and friends, my dog, music, laughter, good food and breaking a sweat. The rest of the things are a bonus.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
"Over thinking over analyzing separates the body from the mind,
withering your intuition leaving oportunity behind." This is a verse from one my favorite Tool songs, and it's such a true statement. It's something I try to practice everyday, though I often times fail miserably.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
It all depends on my mood, energy level and options. Though, I'm usually on the couch talking to my dog wishing he'd respond back with some stimulating conversation like Brian from Family Guy. I love Fridays, but I'm more of a Saturday night person.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I started cussing like a sailor at the ripe young age of two...
