My self-summary
I'm Ryan. I hate trying to describe myself in a paragraph. I try not to take life too seriously. I guess my self-summary is two simple words- I'm me. I try not to take my life serious unless I have to. Family is extremely important to me and have no shame in admitting that my grandpa is one of the closest people in my life.

Oh yeah, and I love traveling. Been to Sydney, Melbourne, Hong Kong, all over the US and my favorite city by far is NY. My next trip is to Europe in June where I'll be going to Ireland, Great Britain, Belgium, and France.

That all being said, I have a soft spot for Miami and the Florida Keys and try to make it down to Marathon several times a year as I grew up loving the ocean.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a registered nurse in a private occupational health clinic. Debating on going back to get my PhD in nursing, as I do love teaching more than anything.

I'm kind of an open book, so ask away. I'm optimistic as much as possible and try not to take anything too seriously unless I have to be.
I’m really good at
Eating. I try to do it several times daily. Oh yeah, breathing too. I believe I do that well.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm tall and I have short brown hair.

You've seen photos of me, what do you notice first?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books-not ashamed to admit it, Joanne Rowling is amazing. I'm also a Hemingway fan; Jurassic Park is one of the best books I've ever read. I liked The Hunger Games. I read Cloud Atlas and was utterly confused by the book, however the movie was great.

Movies-I'm a movie fanatic. I own 100+ blu rays. Stephen Spielberg is my favorite director ever, Tom Hanks is my favorite actor ever, and Natalie Portman is my favorite actress ever. Jurassic Park, Schindler's List, Jaws, Back to the Future, and Raiders of the Lost Ark are my favorite movies ever. I'm not ashamed to admit that I find the horror/gross out genre disgusting. And yet I can watch a surgery and be fine with that. Oh yeah, and comedy is amazing as well. Anchorman is brilliant, as are Wes Anderson movies, and pretty much anything that Luc Besson has done is great as well.

TV- Seinfeld is my favorite TV show ever in a memory sense
. Breaking Bad was amazing. House of Cards is #3. And there's always money in the banana stand.

Music- Blink-182 is my favorite band ever of my generation. Best rock band ever is The Beatles. I also love Rage Against the Machine, Green Day, Nofx, Explosions in the Sky. My music taste is eclectic and I love anything with the piano.

Food-I'm a fan of almost anything other than sushi. Sorry, if you're a sushi person that lists sushi as one of the things you can't do without, I'm not game for that. Tried it several times and all of those times has made me violently ill. French food by far is my favorite style of food followed by Thai.
The six things I could never do without
Cliche stuff right here
1. My family. My grandpa in particular as he's the closest person in my life.
2. Friends
3. Good local beer.
4. The Packers. I'm a Packers owner.
5. My cats. I've got 2 of them and named one of them after my favorite Packer ever, Donald Driver.
6. My passport as I like to travel as much as possible.
7. The internet
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How do so many people dislike cats? Cats are awesome.

Also, does anyone else get people from all over the world checking them out? Sorry, I have 0 desire to date someone in the Philippines.

And is there something that I'm not getting about Machu Picchu as it seems like at least 60% of the people on here have been there.
On a typical Friday night I am
All varies. Maybe down to Kenosha with a friend, maybe relaxing with a movie, maybe hanging out with my cats. It varies. And from what I gather, I'm not the only one who isn't a big Friday person as I feel a more appropriate question would be "On a typical Saturday night I am..."
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I hate spiders. Spiders freak me out. I won't go out of my way to go and kill a spider, I just...yeah, I try to avoid them. Makes sense that I work for the company that makes Raid.

Oh, and for the last few years I've slept on my right side, in an odd position, and am a horribly light sleeper.
You should message me if
I seem like the kind of person you'd like to get to know.
