I'm a vegan and I like cooking quite a lot.

Some of my favourite authors are: China Miéville, Ursula K Le Guin, Kazuo Ishiguro, Gene Wolfe, Clifford D Simak, John Banville, Iain Banks, Tove Jansson, Philip Pullman, Michael Moorcock, Michael Chabon, Alice Sheldon (also known as James Tiptree, Jr), Kurt Vonnegut, Junot Díaz, William Gibson, Terry Pratchett, Tolkien, Jo Walton, P C Jersild and Richard Morgan. Don't assume that this is a complete list, though, or that I have read everything or even most works by all these authors.

Regarding music i mostly like indie and alternative stuff, but also som reggae/ska and some folk music. Favourite bands include The Lucksmiths, Popsicle, Hefner, Belle and sebastian, Sibiria, Lovejoy, The Wannadies, Gorky's Zygotic Mynci, Math & Physics Club, Ant (Antony Harding, that is), Pipas, Cats on Fire and so on. Oh, and let's not forget My Bloody Valentine.

Friends and family (yes, they do fall within the definition of "things"), food, drink, oxygen, the right to give "clever" answers such as "food, drink, oxygen" to questions like this one and probably books. When I haven't read any fiction for a while I turn cranky.

...how things will turn out in the world, considering global warming, peak oil, etc. I'm a little worried about the future my daghter's generation might be facing. I also think quite a lot (too much) about my favourite computer game, called Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, or SMAC.

Well, I'm more straight than you'd guess by looking at the "bisexual" part of my presentation. I'm listed as bisexual because

a) you never know what might happen and it's not as if I'm in good control of my libido, and

b) if I pose as straight there is always a small risk that someone might say "what about that time...", etc.

...you're the kind of person who uses full sentences and punctuation.
