My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I have decided to re-write this, as I finally read it back and its awful. I think I was a bit drunk the first time round, which is a good indicator to the type of person I am. The type who fills out parts of a dating profile after a few drinks. So pretty normal round these parts I reckon.

I'm generally a happy person, none of this moping around and moaning at people, not until I know you really well.
My current job is going quite well, but of course I would rather not have to work. Ever.
I hate describing myself, which seems to be another theme round here, but I like people who don't enjoy that particular facet of dating sites as I value humility.

I don't really believe in the spiritual, however! I think certain things that come under this title can help you see things from a different perspective. So really I have no problem with people who believe in spiritual things. Except ghosts, can't help but find that silly :)

I guess I'm a bit of a geek, I like facts and questions with one correct answer. But I revere people with a creative side, and enjoy being shown what I'm missing round galleries, and in theatres.

I don't know how long this is supposed to be, most peoples seem shorter, maybe I'll stop now.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working for an IT sales company, it's going surprisingly well. Good opportunities, great people, about 8 minutes drive from home (currently).

I also gym a lot now, I've been doing for around 2 years, but it still feels like a new thing.

Then its pub drinking, festivals, the occasional rave.

In between that it's dinner with friends, getting overly stuck into those damn HBO series, sorting out life things.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being liked by parents. I have no idea why, they just do, mum's especially. Must be the overly polite thing.

Also getting people to help me out with things. Is that a skill? I think that's a skill.

Oh, tennis and skiing. Although "good" is a relative term...

Also, DIY, being a rock star, fighting aliens. Standard things.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My dreads!

I don't have dreads any more :( my hair line is too far back, it would be a dread mullet by now, so off they went.

I would like it to be known that my dreads were clean. Despite many peoples preconceptions it is possible to have clean dreads, you don't get them by just not washing your hair. (well some people do, but that's pretty skanky)

Also, my lifestyle does not reflect the standard hippy stereotype, but if I could I would have dreads again.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
All the Diskworld books, and other Pratchett works.
Private Eye magazine
Random books my intellectual friends lend me, the names of which I forget almost instantly.

I have seen so many amazing movies, and forgotten most of their names of course! These are the best of what I remember.
The Fountain
Donnie Darko
Most of the Simon Pegg ones
Strange foreign subtitled comedies my house mate puts on. I didn't forget the names of these ones, I just never knew them or couldn't pronounce/spell them.

Music: Radiohead, Tool, Infected Mushroom, Everything Everything, Tunng, Oceansize, Gomez, Grizzly Bear, The Shallows, The Ligers, loads of random dubstep artists. This is one of those lists that can just go on and on if you keep thinking back, so I'm stopping here.

Every single one of my friends seems to love food. I mean really love it, every other meal is an epic journey thought the ancient cultural cooking techniques of some country or another. My own cooking skill does not quite match up, but I can make a damn tasty vegetable tart, pasta bake, fishcakes with sauteed vegetables, standard bulk tasty good for you stuff. After writing that I'm now really hungry.
