I'm Shadie (Shad-eee, not Shay-dee), I grew up and went to school in Virginia and moved to the Sacramento area from there last April. So far, I love it and I'm so glad I made the move. I'm looking to have fun, get to know the area, and become a Californian.

I love exploring new places, especially San Francisco (there's always a new place when I visit there). I've been very busy with work since moving here, so besides all the good friends I've made at work, I have had little time to meet new people.

I'm here on OkCupid to do just that. I'd like to meet people to hang out with here in Sacramento, people to adventure around northern Cal / San Fran/ and beyond with, and maybe even if the right person comes along, somebody to really connect with.

Shows: Battlestar Galactica, The Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Portlandia, Top Gear, dorky engineering shows like Modern Marvels.

Food: I like the food here...why is the food in California so good?
