My self-summary
While I’m an entrepreneur, I try to make time for adventure, learning new things, and enjoying the simple pleasures. And the simple pleasures are usually best enjoyed with someone I really care about. I'm a theater and movie junkie, avid reader, love to cook (doing the dishes afterwards, not so much), interested in politics, art, and exploring other cultures. I'm warm, caring, brainy, a bit irreverent, and I'm the one who'd have your back. I have an amazing daughter in college and have finally found work-life balance. Plenty of time and attention to lavish on the right guy. I'm emotionally available and I hope to find the same trait in my partner.

I appreciate people who are self-aware, authentic, polished, and who instill humor in the daily challenges and events in life. Chemistry is obviously important. Intelligence and "heart" are aphrodisiacs for me. Your political or religious leanings are irrelevant to me (we can always agree to disagree), as long as you're not a bible thumping, card-carrying member of the NRA.

I’d really like to focus on one special guy. If you are that special guy it will be my pleasure to pamper you, cook for you, listen to you (well, you get the picture--I'm pretty nurturing). Kindness, inspiration, and mutual support of each other’s dreams are key to any good relationship. It's pretty simple really. I want to meet someone who wants to invest some time in getting to know me really well and, in turn, I will do the same. I'm completely loyal once I set my mind and heart on the man I want.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to have as many new experiences as possible.
Growing my business.
Writing a play and a book of essays.
I’m really good at
Making people feel at ease.
Cooking (but not baking--can you make dessert?)
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes and my sense of humor.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Reading The Goldfinch and nearly done so any recommendations? I read a lot of Roth, Irving (what's better than the last 50 pages of A Prayer for Owen Meany?), Le Carre. I also reread Hemingway and Fitzgerald from time to time.
Jazz, blues, rock--really anything but rap (although my daughter swears she will make me change my mind about this).
My Left Foot, Pulp Fiction, As Good as it Gets, Good Will Hunting, The King's Speech, Brokeback Mountain, The Piano, A Room with a View (and most other Merchant Ivory films).
Homeland, Bill Maher, NPR, and The New Yorker.
The six things I could never do without
My daughter, my guitar and piano, my eclectic group of friends, passion, art, theater, books, passport. Yes, yes, I know, that's eight.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I was kicked out of the Girl Scouts (Brownies, actually) for subversive activities.
